I guess now is time to do an OOC post

I just want to say that I love you guys. You all have been so wonderful to play with and I have learned a lot from playing with you guys. I don't know what's going to happen with this blog, but I'll probably keep Pepper on for a while, and maybe do some Indie stuff with her. Darcy's blog might be recycled, into something new someday.

That being said, I am going to take a moment to say that one of my best rp buddies and I are starting a Marvel College AU group, if any of you guys are interested, you can apply to that. Link to my new group here. It's pretty open of an application, since we want everyone to be able to make as many choices with their characters as they can, so anything goes. 

Okay, now that that shameless plug is over, I'm going to say again, I'll miss you guys who don't stay here, or otherwise don't end up playing with me. You guys are great, and I do really love you guys.

Jen laughed fully, for the first time in a very long while.  ”It’s fine, it’s fine!  Go right ahead.”

"I’m basically one notch down from Bruce," she explained.  "The speed thing is something of a work in progress, but my strength is insane.  Like, um…”  She spotted an industrial sized fan in the corner that came up to about her waist, brought in to keep the heat out.  She sauntered over, shoved one hand underneath the base, and lifted it up over her head as if it were made of air.  She pumped her arm a couple of times for effect.  ”And also, I’m apparently immune to any and all viruses, so, you know, that’s handy.”

Pepper reached up and ran her hand over Jen's abs. "Okay, this is insane..." She couldn't stop staring at her tall green form. 

"Okay so that's..." Pepper watched green Jen pick up the giant fan. "Holy shit..." She shook her head. "So it's like Bruce's thing, only a little less intense, and more controllable?" Pepper asked, still staring. "This is just so crazy, I'm sorry. I'm being so rude."

Does anyone know where to find a good vet?

Yeah, I’ve got a pretty good one who handles the snakes since the cat’s vet through the ASPCA doesn’t work with reptiles.

"Really?  You didn’t know?"  She quirked her brow.  "I haven’t really been making an effort to keep it under wraps.  I figured somebody must have told you by now."  For the most part, she had been telling people as it came up, and it just never had with Pepper.  Jen felt a small pang of guilt, but was at least glad that Pepper didn’t seem terribly upset.  In fact, she kind of enjoyed the wide-eyed stare she was giving her.

Jen couldn’t help but chuckle at all the questions.  ”You’re fine, really.  I don’t mind.”  She rested her hands on her hips.  ”Alright…short version: I walked into Bruce’s lab at, like, precisely the wrong moment and basically got gamma all up in my system.  There have been times where I’ve changed uncontrollably, but nine times out of ten, I do it myself.”

Pepper took a walk around Jen, looking her over. "Jesus, you're so tall." She chuckled, "Can I touch your abs? Like, I'm sorry, that's weird but like, just woah, this is so cool." She couldn't stop staring. 

"So this is like Bruce's thing, but not as...unintentionally violent?" Pepper asked. "Like, what all can you do like this? Can you lift a lot and run super fast and all that?" She asked.

For a second, Jen couldn’t figure out why Pepper was looking so strangely at her.  But then she remembered that she was green.  She had almost forgotten during her little jogging spree that she had changed.  She felt so natural in this state.  

"Oh."  She shifted her glance between Pepper and down at herself.  "Yeah.  It’s me.  Like, me me.  There’s no sort of…smashy rampage-y me or anything.  At least that I know of.”  She yanked the other ear bud out, giving full attention to the redheaded girl she now towered over.

Pepper froze, staring at the tall green version of Jen. She still was. The green girl had Jen's face and demeanor. "Wow, um....huh." Pepper looked the girl over in shock. "Well this is...something." She'd grown used to strange things happening to her friends and classmates by this point. 

"I um..." Pepper shook her head. "I had no idea. Why didn't you tell me?" She asked, looking Jen over, absolutely fascinated. "How do you do this? What caused this? Is it something you can completely control, or does this happen by accident sometimes?" The questions just flew out of her mouth. "Sorry, I just...this is just so cool."

Green Therapy || Jen & Open

The first day on her feet since surgery, Jen came back from her usual morning jog, but she didn’t feel wrung out enough.  She knew what it was (the fact that all of her friends were dropping around her like flies and there was absolutely nothing she could do about it), but she didn’t want to admit it.  The less she thought about it, she felt, the safer her mental health would be.  She didn’t have any work that day, so after she scarfed down about four toaster waffles (what she called “a light breakfast”), she pocketed her iPod and did the only thing she knew would mildly help - went to the gym.  

When she stepped into the indoor track, she mildly noted that she was alone (not that she really cared at this point), then immediately stripped off her shirt and cut-offs to reveal the purple and white suit underneath.  She fished her iPod and ear buds out of her pocket before she tossed her shorts aside and then jammed the buds in her ears, immediately blasting a rap song with an impeccable bass.  Two beats into the song, Jen took a deep breath and then let everything go, stretching and tensing and turning a vibrant shade of green, the slick fabric of her suit stretching with ease.  She couldn’t explain it, but hulking out helped.  It was like an extra outer shell that she put up to the world so that none of the bad things could get in.  Not only did she feel stronger physically, but she also felt a little stronger psychologically.

Then she shot off like a rocket around the track, her pulse pounding.  She did at least forty laps before she noticed someone else had entered - at least it was someone that she knew.  Without much thought, she pushed against the ground with a little more force to slow herself to a stop and yanked one of the buds out of her ears.  ”Hey…” she called out casually with a stiff breath.  It was the first word she had spoken all day.

Pepper had spent most of the day in the school gymnasium building, doing yoga. She hadn't talked to most people since Bobbi had passed. She just couldn't deal with another death. She wanted to be alone, and to miss Bobbi in her own quiet way for a while. And that happened to include three hours of yoga first thing in the morning.

After finishing the yoga session, Pepper headed upstairs to the bathroom. The second floor bathrooms were much nicer than the one's near the dance studio. She decided to cut across the indoor track and head out to her car that way, since it was fastest, pausing when she entered the large track area. 

Pepper silently watched the green beast of a woman run laps around the track like it was nothing. It was only when the green woman spoke did Pepper realize who it was. "Jen?"
