Hello! :) I'm curious about something considering the "Daytime Shooting Star Live Action Movie" and thought it'd be best to ask you... :) How big do you think are the chances that it is going to have a different outcome than the manga? I'm personally still really disappointed that we didn't even get a short "alternative ending bonus chapter" in which Suzume ends up with Shishio... :( I remember the anime "Rumbling Hearts" having an entire Episode with an alternative ending.

Unfortunately I don’t think it’s likely to happen, even though it seems HNR’S audience in general are evenly split between Mamura and Shishio. Besides, since the movie came out not long ago, if it *had* ended with a Shizume endgame, there would have been a lot of online reactions among the Japanese community, which we haven’t seen. And if you view the English-subtitled trailer, there’s the clear scene of Mamura reaching up to kiss Suzume… which is the moment Mazume becomes canon in the manga.

I’m sorry to dash your hopes like this, but unfortunately–or fortunately, depending on your view– all evidence points to the original Mazume endgame. –Charlotte

I had the chance to watch the movie when it was released in Japan and (un)fortunately the ending is the same as the manga. The movie encapsulated the spirit of the manga very well however, so if you have the chance to watch it I recommend it.
