Since this is a FNDM rambling blog, I must tell you I’ve been in this god forsaken fandom since I was 12 years old (volume 6 was actively releasing), I know most things, have consumed every media that has to do with RWBY, and have rewatched the show in its entirety more than 10 times, 5 in the last 2 months. I’m not an idiot. If you treat me like an idiot or a child I will likely block you 🫰
That also being said, if something wasn’t stated directly in the show, and instead by the show writers outside of it, I most likely haven’t seen it, and will likely theorise about things they’ve denied because I simply haven’t seen or heard their commentary on it (because I don’t care to, no offense) I will acknowledge being wrong though 👍

With that out of the way, some about me 😽
- I LOVE SUMMER ROSE and am locally insane about her (check my tag “#summer rose mental illness” to learn more 🤓 !! !!), and the Rose family in general, I’m insane about silver eyes and want to know more
- RWBY & STRQ are my favs, top favs out of them are Ruby and Summer, but the Branwen twins are close after
- I don’t hate villains just because “villain = evil” as some people have accused me of (just because I dislike Cinder btw), Salem is one of my favourite characters and I’m lowkey a Salem apologist at times
- My favorite era is V7-9, but I love all volumes
- My favorite ships (that I actually talk about) are rosebird (Summer/Raven) and STRcrossed, jailbyrds (🍅🍅🍅), occasional WR (my Weiss OTP) and N&D, occasional Ruby rarepairs (red light district), just because I romantic ship doesn’t mean I also don’t like the platonic alternative (emphasis on jailbyrds for this)
Okay so some actual about me:
- I probably have some sort of neurodivergence and/or mental illness (definitely depression) but I’ve never been diagnosed or even seen a psychiatrist so I don’t claim anything, but I do have ocd tendencies, as well as paranoid tendencies as far as I’m aware.
- I’ve also speculated I may have ADHD or something of the sort due to my in real life experiences that have traced back to my childhood, I deal with hyperfixations, lack of motivation, procrastination, etc, but again, no diagnosis, so take it with a grain of salt, just an fyi that I do deal with these things
- I use tone tags if I deem the situation necessary

Rewatching volume 5, when Jaune asks Lionheart about Cinder, Emerald, and Mercury coming from Haven, and Lionheart says, “their files were all lies and forgeries,” and Jaune is visibly angry, I wonder if it’s also because that’s how Jaune got into Beacon, he saw himself in the villain
I was thinking about the black garter on Summer's thigh in her character design sheet and so I rewatched the V9 tree vision to see where it appears IN the show itself. And lol the first shot it is actually shown in is the same shot that Raven drops down into view, and nearly simultaneously. As if we needed any more visual proof tying that black garter to Raven. It's so subtle until you notice it and then it's obvious, maybe because the eye is more drawn to Sundered Rose in the moment. Sure, the camera angle is probably mainly for the Raven drop down, but a convenient side effect is that the garter is rather centered horizontally in the shot. Unbelievable levels of rosebird :D
You know as someone who’s been shipping Rosebird since at least Volume 4 if not earlier when it felt like nothing but a fringe crackship, I do very much appreciate that this ship has gotten recognition to the point ‘combing through the show to find every last detail of evidence for it’ XD

Based on the prompt ‘Revival’, this is my creative take on Raven’s semblance and how she might’ve tried (and failed) to reach Summer through it after her death. Hopefully the bg comes across as comic panels with Raven’s portal breaking through to reach Summer!

On the topic of my last post, one thing I will say about the RWBY fandom is that they do have an obsession with characters being 100% morally correct at all times, even if they’re not, they think a character has to be perfect for them to like them, which is why so many character’s actions get dismissed by their fans
The lack of nuance in the Yang and Ruby sister relationship discussion actually kills me, either people saying Yang is a horrible sister or people dismissing Yang’s actions to say that she’s an amazing sister 100% of the time, WHY CANT YALL BE NUANCED 😭
Yang loves Ruby ✅
Yang basically raised Ruby ✅
Yang has helped Ruby through hard times on and off screen ✅
Yang has been neglectful of Ruby’s feelings, and has hurt Ruby because of it ✅
Yang didn’t notice Ruby’s spiral into self-hatred, and when Ruby finally broke, worried more about her girlfriend than her sister ✅
Actually being knowledgeable about RWBY because I’ve rewatched it 5 times in the past 2 months makes me realise how many people either misinterpret parts of the show or plain forget important plot points
Since I’m losing my mind over Summer, may as well add in this line from RLR pt.II, bc huhhhhhhhh, if you could change it would you, this implies that something was still changed despite Summer “failing” her mission, a potential future was still avoided, and if she were to change it, something else may have happened????
The more I rewatch RWBY the more random out of place things I notice that seem to allude to Salem having a “spy on the inside (of Ozpin’s circle)”, at the end of volume 4 when Watts is speaking to Leonardo, Watts says, “Salem always did say you were quite hospitable,” assuming Salem didn’t travel to Mistral to see Leo herself, how would she know that? Especially since it was Watt’s first time meeting him, honestly we could probably talk about Leo and his relation to Salem for awhile since there is so many unanswered questions about it
Also (because if you didn’t catch, I think the potential spy was Summer) seeing the stark (haha) contrast to how Raven acted around Summer right before the mission, and to how she speaks about her in volume 5 when she tells Ruby, “you sound just like your mother,” with venom in her voice, CAN be explained behind Raven finding out that secretly FOR YEARS Summer has been double crossing Ozpin and her group by giving the same information she was trusted with to Salem herself
I don’t think Summer was 100% evil, a strong theory of mine (in relation to this theory) is simply that she was being manipulated by her, forced to do this. “If you don’t do this I’ll kill you,” which, once she had a family may have turned into, “if you don’t do this, I’ll kill your family.
The depressed look on her face when she’s staring out the window right before she leaves in the flash back, because if she didn’t do it, her family is at greater risk, “if I do this right there’s nothing to worry about,” in relation to Raven asking about their family, her family won’t be hurt if she does this
