“She can make a pie with one apple?” the Witch couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow in confusion. What kind of person made an entire pastry with a single fruit? Perhaps her grandmother made multiple small pies to satisfy the little girls seemingly insatiable appetite.

The girl shrugged, “She can do alot, I’m sure she could. Or she would find a way to do it.” There was a pause, “And it will taste so delicious because of your apple and her cooking, no one makes treats quite like her--- that I’ve found.”

“I’ve given you the prospect of one apple, don’t look at me like I’ve promised you a basket of sweets.” She rolled her eyes at the girl. She may be exaggerating her response, but it wasn’t like she actually cared. Aside from the little pride and gratification she received at the thought of how delectable looking and desirable the food in her garden looked.

“It may be healthier, but one apple is just as good. Granny says there is so much you can do with one apple. She makes the best pies with them some times. When she has the energy to.” She looked down a little sad at the thought. But she would hope that her granny would have the energy especially with an apple from the witch.

Do not put your faith in a cape and a hood, they will not protect you the way that they should. And take extra care with strangers, even flowers have their dangers, and though scary is exciting, nice is different than good.

She rolled her eyes exasperatedly. “I may be able to spare one.” She looked her in the eye sternly. “One.” It wasn’t that she actually needed that many apples, but there weren’t many people who she thought deserved something from her garden.

Her eyes went almost comically wide, “Really?” she asked. She couldn’t actually believe it. Granted she would have to wait, but she could be patient. She knew the concept, her appetite was ravenous, but she knew patience, and she knew there was other food in the world that could hold her over. She did truthfully desire though one of the woman’s perfect apples.

“They do, and they would,” Mel smirked at the child’s attempt. “But they aren’t ready yet and, more importantly, they’re not for you.”

She was right, she knew it. She looked longingly at the apples. “Even when they are ready, you’d not give me just one,” she said trying her best to not sound like she was begging, and failing horribly.

Her hand shot down to her side as she looked at the woman, she shook her head, “No of course not, but they are so beautiful” She then added wistfully, “I bet they taste good--- especially in a pie.”

HIATUS NOTICE - PSA

Hey guys so as many of you know I have graduated law school, but with that comes prepping for and taking the bar. This will be effective from May 28-August 1. I will be able to RP maybe one day a week fully, and maybe 1 hour a day. However none of that is guaranteed. Please be patient with me this summer.

If I go inactive feel free to use the inbox of @mcnsieur to contact me. My discord will be given out to those who ask if I know you. I will try my best to not go AWOL, but I cannot promise anything.

The Bar Exam is my top priority this summer. It is not a hobby, RPing is and I have to put RPing to the side for a bit. I will do it as much as I can, but I just ask you guys to be patient with me through the summer.
