i get this might be an allegory for jaxs anxiety and self consciousness, but i cant help but see it as a allegory for gender dysphoria. the fear of others making fun of you for yourself. your own identity being peeled away. jax is transfem theory you live on

In the 8 episode they are not "getting flashbacks"/"Caine wants to make them happy" but ALL OF THEM (including Caine) are retreating to the first day in the circus in one time.

The red and blue dots and Caine being in Suspended position is like turning him on.

Also the whole circus is so shocked. We have that frame with kinger and Ragatha looking like they don't know themselves, but also the king doesn't know how to react (so he's still new in the circus.)

One small step for man, as they say. But yes: I've been using AI so far. Not as art, not as a friend or for research, but simply as a stimulant (cause I have Asperger and I'm dealing with a lot last time). But now I'm quitting it. Is gonna be hard for me, but I will get over it. I believe that.

It was Caine's. Caine confirmed, that he actually can control their minds in the episode. As long as "this was all an adventure" it's true, it means that Caine knows not only that he's an AI, but he also knows that he is a prisoner. He can't get out. So all what matter to him is that people. Their opinion about them. Just like chat gpt or any ai. And today he tried to show this to them. That in some way he is like the rest.

And when they were choosing between the buttons, that's he who felt scared, that they really don't like him. That — if SOMEDAY they really will find the way out — he is really gonna be left alone. So he made up with Jax's mind (he knows that he's abstracting, he's the most unstable so it wouldn't stand uot), made him get a panic attack and click it.

But jax wasnt the only one that mind was getting controlled. I truly think that pomni would be the first to choose to escape the circus. And because Caine was scared for them to show that they don't really like or care for Caine, he made her question the thing to make some time, or just for the characters to change their mind.
