So sad to be moving out of my little flat in Leeds. It's just the right size and holds so many great memories, so I'll be sad to let it go, but it's time for a change. Moving somewhere new and getting a fresh room I think is needed now. 

Bye bye 191D Liberty Park. I'll remember you for your whistling window, broken fan and smelly hoover.

HANBAN

Totally a Han-appreciation post.

So Hannah is going away to America tomorrow for 20 days and making the journey from NYC to LA (New York - Washington DC - Virginia - Tennessee - Alabama - Mississippi - New Orleans - Louisiana - Texas - San Antonio - Texas & Carlsbad Caverns National Park - Arizona - Roswell, New Mexico - Monument Valley - Grand Canyon National Park - Lake Powell - Zion National Park - Las Vegas - Los Angeles) camping for 16 days and staying in 4 hotels! I cannot even describe how stoked I would be! She's worked as a cleaner during her gap year to save up for this trip and I'm so proud that she has managed to work hard to get what she wants. 

I hope that she has an absolutely amazing time and makes some fab memories before going to uni in September!!

I've been trying my hand at creating something different from my normal ways of working. I wanted to experiment using one simple medium to create this little tonal study. Taking step by step images is a habit that I picked up during my development in personal professional practice and I feel that displaying my work in this way is quite effective in terms of demonstrating my progress. 

This was loosely inspired by Keaton Henson and I had a go at drawing him from this angle because I usually hate and steer away from silhouettes of people, because I feel that it makes proportioning difficult. Trying something new has been quite good.

This week I went on a serious shopping spree to cheer me up! I managed to get most of this in the sale at Topshop, New Look and Marks & Spencer. I'm so happy with my purchases and I'm even more excited about getting the chance to wear them!! (when I transition from wearing sweat pants all day)
