I don’t know why that affected me so strongly, but I’m watching a youtube video on disasters on Lake Huron, and the first one involves a coal freighter that was lost in the White Hurricane of 1913 called the SS Argus. Everyone on the ship was lost. But it’s mentioned that the captain’s body washed up later, and was found without a life jacket. So they thought, based partly on testimony of another ship that thought they saw them go down, that it just happened too fast for him to have time to get his jacket. But then another body was found, that of the second cook, and she was found wearing the life jacket marked ‘captain’. And that’s …

It didn’t work. It didn’t save her. But it’s so very possible that he spent his last moments alive trying to save someone else, one of his crew, and they probably both knew that it wouldn’t work, that there wasn’t a lot of hope in a blizzard on the lakes in November, but he tried … he tried anyway. Even if it did nothing but maybe make her body easier for her family to find.

You know that Mr Rogers thing of ‘look for the helpers’? How many times has someone, facing the end, done something tiny and fragile and maybe hopeless just to try and help someone else? Whether it works or not. How many people went to their graves at least trying?

That has to say something about us. As a people. As monstrous as we sometimes (perhaps often) are, so many times we were also …

Whoever saves one life, saves the whole world.

And sometimes you can’t save one life, sometimes it doesn’t work, sometimes there’s no getting out of this for anyone, but … try anyway. Because it matters anyway.

And maybe no one will ever know. But maybe also some day more than a century down the line, maybe some idiot will be crying into her coffee because of what you died trying.

I haven’t drawn Barriss before this from what I can remember and hadn’t drawn Ahsoka at this age, she’s either really little or 30 something when I tend to draw her.

URGENT, PLEASE!

I recently adopted a kitten (she had fallen down a drain) and today I took her to the vet urgently because she was vomiting and oozing pus. I was told that she has an infection in her uterus (it's basically full of pus) and that she needs urgent surgery, plus she has tested positive for erlikia.

Even with all my savings, I can't cover all the expenses for surgeries, remedies and other aftercare.

I FUCKED UP

I will be taking down the artwork with Cody and Obi-Wan because I need to set this right. I've been drawing Cody as black when I should have been correctly drawing Cody as his portrayed actor Temuera Morrison. I don't want to cower behind excuses of why I've drawn him that way because it's something that should be done right.

I've also deleted/privated anything I re-blogged from other artists so they don't have to have any sorta link to me they do not wish from others.

I'm grateful to the bloggers and artists who have been drawing Cody and any other clone as they should be portrayed, and for those who have been vocal in stating changes in features/skin tones of the clones that should remain as the actor. It made me feel certain in coming forward to say this and I will make those correct changes in drawing clone art from this point moving on.

If anyone has any tips on how to draw the clones, coloring or the line art itself they'd be welcome, realistic or more simplified.

If this story made you laugh, please don’t skip this message. We live in northern Gaza and we need help. Despite the ceasefire, things keep getting worse here. We are still hungry, cold and sick. We are paying hundreds of dollars to see doctors and get treatment because of how rough the war was on our bodies. We might lose our shelter soon because the landlord keeps increasing the rent.

In the midst of this, my sister Soso, who is only four years old, deserves to be a normal child. She wants to learn but she never got to start school. A few days ago, we brought her to kindergarten, but she spent the entire day crying and now the principal doesn’t want her back. What is this injustice? Children cry on their first day! Soso is a child with a bad life, she’s hungry and cold, she went through severe famine and bombings and witnessed massacres, how can she not cry?

Please help me make our lives better, more stable, so that Soso will feel safe enough to leave our side for a few hours. She longs for an education but she is traumatized.
