It’s been a seriously weird start to the year, right? Or is it just me? 🤔 . I took a little break from dyeing over the winter holidays to reset and work out what was next after deciding to take Gamercrafting full time. It was a hard decision to make, and one I’m still questioning at least three times a week. 😅 . I’ve started working on a new collection, themed around Up in the Air. This is SYLPH, a kind of wind spirit. The finished yarn wil look a little different, but that’s intentional. I’ve also dyed Djinn, Cockatrice, and Sentinel Ravens. Tomorrow, I’ll dye Yip Yip and maybe Lin’s Cables if I get a chance. . This collection, like all of them, will be accessible to newsletter subscribers first. Also with collections, I don’t do backorders because it’s too stressful, so if you see something you want, you might want to subscribe to the newsletter. I don’t dye in huge quantities, because it’s a huge risk, and with everyone’s belt tightening, it’s not a risk I can take. (Looks sideways at massive tax bill…) . Here I am, back with another “I made this literally forever ago but never posted it for reasons I don’t even know.” I made this as a newborn set to sell but honestly I love the colors and the blanket is just too cute so I think that’s why I kept it hidden away.

Considering you can’t buy this yarn anymore, I don’t know if I can bring myself to get rid of it. The blanket, anyway.

The yarn is Caron Big Cakes in Jordan Almonds. The blanket pattern is just a Waffle Stitch. Baby clothes set I don’t remember :)

Made a hat with some handspun yarn. Didn’t quite use up the whole skein, but it’s something 👀

harvested Teloschistaceae + Lemon disco, extracted dye, lighter fibers were mordanted w/alum, darker fiber was mordanted w/acorn tannin, and then all were over-dyed w/marigold exhaust baths. magic 🌾
