It’s been a while since I’ve posted an update. I kept meaning to post since my 3 year anniversary passed lol. Welp, still here. Plants are still slowly taking over my room. I still may become Poison Ivy one day.
Also that new plant I talked about sprouted and shortly died a while ago lol. I’ll try again eventually.
My ivies were slowly overtaking my room again, so I looped them around themselves a few times. Two before and two after photos. Can you tell the difference?
My smaller ivies, which have never wilted in 2+ years, are shedding leaves. They’re also not growing big, strong leaves. I fed them some plant food. Hopefully this is just their angst phase. 🙃
My mum is doing well, though. And I planted something new yesterday.

Pandemic or not, my plants and I are still enjoying ourselves.
Some of these leaves are bigger than my fists. Wow!
I cut off one of one of the lanky mum stalks because it was doing poorly. But the other stalk is actually growing in places I thought were dead. There’s a message in there somewhere...
New year, new growth
Last post of 2019. Last post of the decade. 😱 I’m so happy that I’ve been able to keep these plants for over 2 years. Cheers to the next decade!
I think it’s safe to say that the mum sprout I re-potted failed to acclimate and has died 😭 But otherwise, business as usual. The mama ivy is doing very well hanging up high.
The mum that broke off last month sprouted roots and new growth in the water. Now I need to prune the dying leaves and plant it back into soil. :) Also should probably prune those funky, tall mum sprouts. But I can’t bring myself to do it yet!
It’s been a while! I was traveling and living life, so my friend took care of my plants while I was busy. They need a little extra TLC, which I am here to give!
The mums have extremely long, but weak stems; the bulbs appeared but never bloomed. And of course, one had to break on the ride back. :( So we’ll see if I can keep the tall stems or if I’ll prune them off and just start with the newer healthier ones again.
The mama ivy is now hung over my curtain rods, and one of the smaller ivies is wrapped around my table for the sake of saving space. Hopefully they adjust over the next several days!
It’s been a while, but I’ve just been busy. :)
This blog is two years old. These plants have been in my care for 2 years! I’m extremely thankful for the joy that these plants give me, even when they’re a headache.
