My name is Lauren Tharp. I'm a multiple award-winning writer, and the owner of LittleZotz Writing. I started my career as a freelance writer when I was a teenager and I'd like to help other teens do the same! I would like to pay teens to write articles -- giving them their first paying gig (and, therefore, launching their freelance writing careers!). However, I cannot afford to, at this time, pay them out of my own pocket. That's where YOU come in. As a patreon, your money will be put aside and dedicated to giving teens their first paid writing gigs. I've already started up a website -- LittleZotz TEENS -- to help teach young writers how to get started as freelancers: from proper formatting to how to conduct interviews to basic writing ethics! It's my dream to turn LittleZotz TEENS into a place for young writers to teach each other what it takes to be great writers by way of a blog written BY teens FOR teens. But, as I said, I want to PAY those young writers for their articles. Because you aren't truly a freelance writer unless you're getting paid for your work! When I was young, there were a lot more publications that were open to hiring teens than there are now... These days, it's really difficult for teen writers to get paying work. I'd like to help change that. But I need your help. The more money you donate, the more careers you'll be launching!
