Good thing you don’t worship THE MAKER—- he asks for a lot.
Representing the hold that Labelle’s religion has on her, and how she yearns for freedom & independence but allows this puppetry.

Paragon of Doubt
▌ INQUISITOR.
“ The templar.. ? “ Labelle raised a brow, only to conclude whom the man her comrade was referring to. “ Ah— you mean the man from earlier today. “
“ I had begun the judgement with the idea of only imprisonment; and even perhaps rehabilitation for his addiction. Yet, when he addressed the court regarding his crimes, it was clear that he was not fit to live. He spoke under the guise of ‘templar duty’, and refused to own his actions; let alone atone for them. “
A nod of confirmation is offered in turn, a chuckle striking itself from his throat. “ I suppose that is—- reasonable. You cannot use one’s status to just make excuses for yourself, no? It is irresponsible. Perhaps death was the right choice to make. ” A long pause. “ Does it hurt at all to send them away? ”
The chevaliers question caught Labelle off guard, if only just for a fraction of a second; aqua hues tore themselves from the stack of official papers she’d been shuffling and settled on Armel’s face—- it was a question she’d never been asked by another, but thought much of by herself.
“ .. No, “ The Herald answered firmly, “ When I see these men and women dragged across the floor of this hold, either to death or prison, I feel no guilt and no remorse. “ Labelle’s accented voice was sturdy and sure, but her eyes wavered with an uncertainty others did not often see— if at all.
“ I suppose.. it’s more frightening, than anything—- the commands of judgement and death come so easily know. Its something... I truly did not wish to happen. “
!! ; Like for a starter.

“ Actually, yes—- I do. An odd occurrence. What is it? “
“ I wanted to speak to you about one of your judgements—- with the templar. You sent him to death. Why? ”

she took off her pride and pain was all that’s left covering her.

Random HC }}; MAGES/TRANQUILITY
Labelle is disgusted by the idea of tranquility. Though she is aware of the consequences of a mage- hell, ANYONE with too much power and not enough will, stripping them of emotion and thought horrified her. No person deserved such a treatment. She also sometimes wonders why mages-- as well as templars-- only thought of themselves as that one thing. It seems as if they're just as willing to label themselves as the rest of the world is. Labelled may be a noble and an Andrastian, but those two things did not define her. It confuses her why someone would try to define the worth of their freedom, or life, with something as small as magic or lack thereof.

❜ .. well, it’d be a shame if someonetook advantage of the commanders absence in his dreadfully non-genital covered office, wouldn’t it? A damn shame. ❜
‘Wait – are you suggestin’ to?’ A much needed gagging sound. ‘You’re gross. Paintin’ ruined.’
❜ That’s too bad. His face might’ve just been worth a million gold at seeing these paintings all over his walls. ❜
❛ I should be in the war room—- but this.. is oddly captivating. Who’s rear end is that? ❜
‘Forget the war room, this is better, yeah? It can be anyone’s! It’s called imagination.’
