Here it is! The (anxiously?) awaited new chapter! Just a warning, this is probably the shortest chapter in the history of writing. BUT, it's really just a catch-you-up one. I'll post one this weekend that will be much longer, and finally introduce some major drama into the story. (gasp)
So anyway, enjoy this mini-chapter. And let me know what you think!

“You realize what today is, don’t you?”
“No… what is it?”
Still waiting for an answer to the random question, Aliya turned her head to face Aly. She can smell the perfume she bought Aly for Hanukkah. The Jewish girl had mischievously sprayed some on her neck, and it took every ounce of self-control Aliya had not to lean over and kiss the scented area. Aly feels a pair of eyes on her, and she turns her head to see Aliya looking at her.
"What?" Aly questions, giggling.
"First, your perfume is in a teasing spot. Second, you asked a question!"
“Oh, yeah! I did.” Aly decides not to comment on the first statement; she enjoyed making Aliya want to kiss her. Aliya laughs, amused by the girl's forgetfulness. For someone so involved with sports and other extra-curricular activities, Aly had a tendency to forget things very easily.
“Today marks two months…”
“Two months for what?”Â
In this particular instance, it appeared Aliya had been the one to forget something that Aly remembered. Slapping her gently on the shoulder, Aly scoffed at Aliya and feigned frustration.
“You don’t remember? How could you forget?”
“I’ll know as soon as you tell me.”
Aly smiled at the other girl’s sense of humor.
"Well," she began, "exactly two months ago, you and I started... talking."Â
Aly loathed using that term to explain her and Aliya's situation. She wanted to be able to say they were "dating" or "girlfriends," but "talking" appeared to be the only available terminology for the moment. Truth is, Aly was scared to even bring it up to Aliya. Everything was going wonderfully, and Aly didn't want to ruin it by pushing her. After all, it was Aliya who requested they take it slow, a week after they shared their first kiss.

The two girls were walking to lunch, when Aly suddenly grabbed Aliya by the arm and quickly snuck her into a nearby janitor's closet. There, she took advantage of the privacy and began kissing Aliya hurriedly, gradually moving downwards to her neck and shoulder.
"Aly…" Aliya whispered. Aly took this as a plea to continue; she slowly made her way to Aliya’s collarbone and began to ever-so-slowly descend. Down, down, down, until she heard Aliya’s voice again.
“Aly!” she exclaimed soft enough to avoid being heard from the students passing by outside, but stern enough to get her seriousness across to the other girl.
Aly abruptly stopped her actions and looked into Aliya's eyes.
"What's wrong?"
The look Aliya was giving conveyed her confusion and hesitancy.
"Is amazing, you and I… but--" Aliya stopped, to make sure she said the correct words.
Aly began to panic. Has she found someone else? Is she prettier than me? Does she go here? Oh, gosh. What if it’s a guy? Would she really leave me for a dude? Am I that bad? I bet I could kick his ass.
Always being one to say what’s on her mind, Aly blurted out her thoughts. “Are you leaving me for someone else? Because if you are, tell me!”
Though seemingly a very tense situation, Aliya began to laugh. Aly wasn't sure if this was some sort of twisted Russian humor, but it made her angry. Before Aly had a chance to question the giggling girl, Aliya spoke up.
“No. I would not leave. I like you, Raisman. Very much.” She smiled and kissed Aly on the cheek to emphasize her statement. “But,” she continued, “this needs to move slower. Has only been one week.”
Breathing a sigh of relief, Aly agreed. Any other person may have been upset with the situation, but she was just grateful Aliya still wanted to be with her. Despite their brief history, Aly didn't want to lose the other girl. She was glad the feeling was mutual.

Suddenly nervous of Aliya's response, Aly sat up. She avoided eye contact with her, and chose to focus her attention on an old man and woman walking through the park. She loved seeing elderly couples together. So happy and wise. However, she needed to focus on the situation at hand. Aliya sat up as well and turned Aly's chin toward her.
Aliya sensed Aly's hesitancy and immediately knew the reason. She felt awful for asking her to take things as sluggishly as they did, but now, she was done taking things slow.
"Let me take you on a date. Our first real one."
Aly's face hurt for hours after she flashed Aliya the biggest smile humanly possible. "Really?" she questioned, beaming. After two long months of "hanging out" and "talking," Aly and Aliya were finally going on a date.
"Really. I'll borrow Donna's car and pick you up at 7 tomorrow night for dinner."
At that instant, both girls began mentally picking out their outfits, makeup, hairstyle, and the foods they would stay away from that night, as to avoid bad breath.
Nothing could ruin their perfect night.

I hate when people look at the Westboro Baptist Church and associate them with most Christians. What they do is sick and disgusting and does in no way reflect the viewpoint Christians are supposed to have.
