This is UNTRUE!!!! If you’re new to Catholicism you HAVE to listen to MEEEEEEEEE. Here’s my advice:
Leave
bad news for chocolate lovers: amid massive corporate downsizing, Lindt has had to euthanize 2,000 of its handsome european chocolate chefs . an additional 1,300 will be thrown out in the cold with nothing but their stupid Fucking whisks
“We are descended from the Witches you couldn’t burn!”
It’s a nice sentiment, I like the energy, I do. That said, I am actually descended from a “Salem Witch,” and my Ancestor, Mary Isham Towne, was not burnt at the stake, she was hanged by the neck until dead. We’re not savages y’know.
Furthermore, Mary Isham Towne was a churchgoing, god-fearing woman, who just so happened to be a widow who owned a piece of land that the local judge wanted to purchase, but which she refused to sell, and which he set out to acquire pretty much immediately after he sentenced her execution.
So, y’know.

Now THATS what I call character development
it's the fact that she "always wanted to" that really does it for me. proud of you, ma'am.
I lived and worked in a lighthouse at a previous job. There was a thick line painted in a circle around the shack where the fog signal was kept. The line represented how close you could get to the fog signal without experiencing physical harm in the form of eardrums shattering or worse.
Even in the house it was LOUD. Probably the loudest thing I have ever experienced but at a normal, predictable interval. You would begin to time your sentences with little pauses with the rest of the lighthouse crew so you would talk like this while making your………..HORN…………. tea and then carry on talking because you knew when it would go off. It rattled the walls and the dishes in our cabinet.
At least one girl had died there. They kept photos of her everywhere “in honor of her sacrifice” because she had decided to take the winter watch alone and died in a storm where bounders the size of mini vans had been lifted out of the ocean and left scattered across the island, to say nothing of the ice chunks. People weren’t allowed to be alone on the watch after that.
One day a dead moose washed up on shore and it took my entire crew all day but we managed to rig up a line to hang it up to dry because we thought having a moose skeleton in the house would really spice the living room up a bit. It did. Weird shit happens when six of you are left alone, like ALONE ALONE, no cell reception, no wifi, just a radio to contact the real world and not a lot of reason to do that. People don’t go on lighthouse jobs if they want to stay connected, I’ve found.
That said Id do it all again, I really do treasure those days
you know you could’ve just said “no they don’t have wifi” and that would’ve answered the question
But then you wouldnt have known about the moose
Hey so do you have a pic of the moose skeleton spicing it up in the living room?

METALLIC GOLD PANTIES ????
This has been my main argument against "AI" from the very beginning.
OpenAI scraped the entire web. All of which had been a labor of love from humans. Wikipedia is the backbone of a lot of LLMs, and that was volunteer human labor. They stole it and now they're selling it back to us.
And worse, they're trying to destroy the free sources that they stole from. It's destruction of human knowledge on an unprecedented scale. The burning of the library of Alexandria has nothing on this.
Piracy is a “victimless crime”? Idk i was kinda hoping there would be a victim. I want the mouse dead

first rule of software development is just deploy that shit baby
I know this is about CloudStrike, but I just yanked an SD card out of a raspberry pi inside an IOT device. They deployed the developer's machine by duplicating the SD card.
This means every single device out in the wild has:
the developer's command history
the developer's browser history
the source code to their code
access to their private github repositories
a username/password to one of their log servers
the URL you need to GPS track any of their trucks
the identity of their "stealth startup", because I can look up the names of all the developers on linkedin, see they all work for the same "stealth startup", and see that their email addresses all end in @SECRETCOMPANY.EGG
their slack login (browser cookies)
So yes. developers just be deploying whatever
that's really cool um. what does "I just yanked an SD card out of a raspberry pi inside an IOT device. They deployed the developer's machine by duplicating the SD card." actually mean tho
IOT = internet of things, essentially things like an internet-connected light switch, the sd card has an "image" (an exact copy) of the developer's computer and it was copied for every single device, so every device not only has a free sd card (nice!) but also has a full copy of the developer's computer
oh and a free raspberry pi! those things aren't cheap!
That's why I got them! I found a pile of these devices at ewaste and figured out they had raspis in them, so I grabbed them to disassemble.
