This is not the performance choreography.  This is him demonstrating to her the choreography he wants her to do, so there is no reason for her to rehearse that reaction.

If this is they story of their journey, why select that choreography?  

If this is “from [him] to [her]”, why make every step a paean to intimacy and connection?
