Mom: Can't Voldemort read minds?

Me: Yep.

Mom: How did Snape never get caught?

Me: Master at lying, and occlumency.

Mom: What's occlumency?

Me: Blocking someone from reading your mind.

Mom: So if he slipped, would Voldemort have killed him.

Me: Probably worse. He'd probably torture him until he got bored and then killed him.

Mom: And he stayed at the school to protect the students?

Me: And played behind the scenes to defeat Voldemort, in the processes saving hundreds if not thousands of lives and had a major hand in Voldemort's down fall.

Mom: Fuck .... My ambitions sound petty in comparison to that. I'll never achieve anything close to that by the time I'm his age.

Me: You're older than him.

Mom: What?

Me: He's 38.

Mom: Fuck off. He's still a baby!!!

Me: Yep.

Mom: Aw and he died so young.

What house was Viktor in when he was a student at Durmstrang?

It was a little tough sorting him since he's a combination of the houses but I decided he was in Zmey. No one becomes the greatest seeker, chosen champion to represent Durmstrang, or as I've added, the schools record holder for various awards unless they were very ambitious. Also a big part of why Karkaroff and Burke are fond of him. I believe somewhere within chapter 5 I hinted a bit when I mentioned his ring being green too. 😊

How did you come up with the names for the Durmstrang houses?

Hey there, Dori! This may be slightly incorrect since I created them over a year ago, but each house is the slavic translation of the animal or trait. Zmey - mythological dragon (ambition) Elendor - stag (loyalty) Bukhail - owl (wisdom)Hermione will be finally sorted soon too!

Do you have a plan for the Unexpected Journey or are you just winging it? And by the way, you are doing an amazing job with it

A little bit of both honestly. I don't think any writer truly knows exactly what will happen when they write a chapter (JK Rowling had talked about her own difficulty in interviews) but I know the steps I need to write in order to get to the big picture I've written out. And thank you so much! ❤️I know the last couple chapters haven't been perfect and I've been taking the feedback seriously, which is why I'm always on the fence about going back through my work and changing key elements, but I appreciate your enthusiasm immensely.
