PAST

Olivia was born into the singing and dancing Rhodes family. She grew up in Bridgeport and New York City and traveled all over the place with her parents since her mom, Leanne, is a Broadway great. As a baby and throughout her childhood, Liv had several health issues and was relatively fragile, so she was very much protected by her parents and wasn’t allowed to try too many activities. Liv tried theater, but wasn’t crazy about it. She was very shy child who struggled to make friends, so she fell in love with ballet and was naturally gifted at it. From that moment on, that was all Liv wanted to do with her life.

Ballet quickly consumed young Olivia’s life, and she began to struggle with her schoolwork. She and her siblings were homeschooled at first, but she was never very motivated from the get go.  She never saw it important to apply herself because she would do whatever it took to become a professional ballerina. During her childhood, she also got into and took classes a the School of American Ballet. When Olivia was a teenager, her parents decided that a public school environment might be better for her, so she attended the local high school in Bridgeport. She did a little bit better with her grades but still required tutoring in order to graduate. During her high school years, Liv met the boy who would one day become her husband. The two of them started dating when they were sixteen and Liv was head over heels in love with him. During her junior year, she did an internship as a performer at Disney World, and during senior year she got an apprenticeship for the New York City Ballet and did well with that. 

While she was waiting to join the corps de ballet for the NYCB Liv’s mom Leanne pulled some strings for her and got her the role of Sophie in Mamma Mia on Broadway. Liv did that for two months and got bored and left the company, which is still a point of tension for her and her mom today. Everything worked out though, because Liv auditioned for the NYCB and quickly began to work her way through the ranks. When the spring production of Swan Lake came along, Liv caught the eye of the director and he basically promised to give her the lead role of Odette/Odile if she slept with him, so she did. She wasn’t proud of it, but she was given the role and no one found out about it.

On the opening night of Swan Lake, Liv’s long term boyfriend Will proposed to her. He wasn’t the best guy for her, but she was blind to that and never realized it until a little bit later in life. She danced ballet with the company for a few more years and then was convinced to move back home to FallBrook by her fiancé. The two of them bought a house in Rosewood Hills and were soon married, and not long after that their first son Jake was born. Their second son Finn followed three years later, and then Liv took on ownership of Turning Pointe dance studio. When she and Will decided to start trying for a third child and were having some issues, so he went and started cheating on Liv. She didn’t find out about it until after she got pregnant, and after she had their third son Lucas she filed for divorce.

PRESENT

Olivia has been living in her house as a single mother to her sons for the last year. Her ex-husband is no longer involved with the boys, so she feels very lucky to have the help of her family and friends. After getting pregnant, Liv has recently started dating Vincenzo Inendino who is the father of the twins. They are living together and things are moving fast, but Liv is truly in love and is the happiest she has ever been. 

Wanted plots & Headcanons

Olivia is very athletic even though she hasn’t played any organized sports.

One of her hobbies is running, and one of her goals is that she wants to run a marathon

Is a foodie and the way to her heart is definitely food. Particularly chicken wings and any kinds of desserts.

Is well known for dancing the roles of Odette/Odile in Swan Lake, the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, and Giselle in Giselle. She was also the dance double for the movie Black Swan.

“Okay, tell me all about everything there is to know about Nutcracker season!” Nia spoke, taking a look through the binder that the other had prepared step by step for the event. Nia remembered growing up in New York that her favorite part of New York was watching the Nutcracker on Broadway and how much joy it had always been among her family. It was an annual thing; dinner, the nutcracker, and desert afterwards, and while it had been quite a few years since she’d gotten to experience it on the same level, she was ecstatic to be helping out with it at the studio this year. “I’ll do decorations, set up, costumes. Where do you want me and how can I help?”

With the twins nearly two weeks old, Liv had been incredibly busy and exhausted, but thankfully she had a great fiance who offered to look after all the kids today so she could have a couple of hours to herself. And what did she do with that? She went to the studio to see how the classes were going and to talk to Nia. “Okay, so it is definitely our most successful ballet. The kids love it, and it’s a classic. Every ballerina has a history with The Nutcracker. I think I was five the first time I was in it,” she laughed. “I think the most important thing is to make sure that all the kids have their costumes for the Saturday night performance at the Winter Wonderland. And don’t worry, I’ll be there for it.”

“You do have a few to spare it seems.” Harmony joked back with a small chuckle. She couldn’t imagine having to juggle that many kids.  “It’s always just been a little bit complicated, even before I got divorced. So I guess I just need to figure out where my life is heading.” She replied as she knew that she did want kids. Harmony had always wanted them, but things didn’t work out the way she thought it would. After her and her now ex-husband had been unable to conceive she’d given up. “I want to get hardwood because I think it will look the best.”

“I’m seriously done now. No more.” She had planned to be done after Lucas, but the twins were unplanned and came as a complete surprise. “And I’m totally here to talk any of that out with you. I know you’ve been through so much, and I’d be more than happy to lend an ear,” she offered, a kind smile on her face. Liv had been through a divorce herself. It was one of the hardest things to deal with. “Perfect! Hardwood is the best. And it’s so easy to clean. Do you have a spin mop? Let me tell you, it is a game changer and way better than a Swiffer.”

Conor wasn’t all that good at getting others presents. It wasn’t that he was against the idea, but it was difficult to think of what would be meaningful and make others happy. Everyone got those presents every year that they wanted to throw out right away and his goal was to  not give any of those at all costs. He decided to ask the girl in question to make a list of everything that she wanted no matter how crazy. The gift itself would still be his choice so there would be some surprise and he could always get something else if he felt like it. It was his little so of course he wanted to give her something she truly wanted. “So have you come up with a list of items you’d want or need?” He said really hoping she’d throw her brother a bone and help him out. 

Olivia was sitting down holding a sleeping baby Leo on her chest. It was nice that Conor had stopped over to keep her company. Enzo took Jake, Finn and Lucas out so it was just her with the twins right now. In response to her bother’s question, she thought for a moment before letting out a laugh. “You’re asking me what I want? I think sleep is at the top of my list right now,” she commented. With two newborns, she was up several times throughout the night and was starting to feel the exhaustion now that they were almost two weeks old. “But if we are talking about tangible things, then a massage would be wonderful.”

Sylvie excited for Liv and Enzo that the twins had arrived safely and healthy. Even if they had come a couple days earlier than expected. Sylvie left the kids with Anni as she made her way to Liv’s. She had stopped off to get some food and coffee. “ Hey you. “ Sylvie said as she entered the living room food in hand. “ You know those babies are going to be able to sleep through anything right? They’re probably use to the noise of the boys. “ She joked because it had been the same way with June. “ I brought all the things you’re not supposed to have while pregnant in celebration. The best sub from the bakery, just the way you like it. Sushi and a large and strong coffee. “ Sylvie added as she placed it on the table in front of Liv. The sub was the first thing she wanted after June had decided to come two weeks early.  “ How are you feeling? Do you need anything? “ Sylvie made her way to the babies a huge smile upon her face. “ Look at them, they’re perfect. “ She said before reaching down to pick up little Leo. “ Congratulations. “

Liv was excited to see Sylvie set out all of the items, especially the sandwich and the sushi. Food was always the way to her heart, and she had missed those two things so much. Reaching forward, she happily picked up the coffee and took a sip of it. It was much needed. “This is perfect, thank you so much,” she said, appreciative of all of it. “I’m feeling okay, jut sore and tired, but that’s to be expected,” she shrugged her shoulders. She was anxious to get back to dance, but knew she had to rest for a few weeks before she could start doing anything. She needed to recover. “They’re been good babies so far. Leah is definitely more fussy than Leo. She’s already a little drama queen,” she laughed. “How was the trip out of town?”

It was nearly the beginning of Anni’s shift and while she was prepared for a full day of healthy and happy deliveries, she knew that to start her morning off she needed nothing more than to visit Olivia and her beautiful babies. With a smile on her face as she entered the room, she shrugged slightly. “It’s alright.” she smiled, laughing a little. “Babies have minds of their own, they’ll do whatever they can whenever they can. I’ve learned a bit about that in my years doing this professionally.” She laughed. “I hope you’re getting some rest.” she smiled, noticing just how much both of her babies resembled her in some way. “They’re absolutely beautiful as I knew they would be.” she smiled. “I imagine Dr. Richards took good care of you?” she questioned, knowing that’s who she’d recommended to Leanne whenever the text message had come through. “Any complications or anything you’d like me to check out for you?” 

“As much rest as I can. They’ve been pretty calm, which is nice.” And not to mention Enzo was great. He was adapting to fatherhood well, and Liv was thankful for him. “I just can’t believe that they are here already, even though that seemed like the longest pregnancy in the world,” she laughed. She had gone over the average for a twin pregnancy, and was happy that she did even though she had been so uncomfortable. The babies were healthy and strong. Looking at her babies, she had a proud smile on her face. “Yes, I was well taken care of and the birth went well besides Leah still being stubborn and not wanting to turn, but she did with some assistance.” In response to the question, Liv shrugged her shoulders. “I think we are all doing as well as could be expected. I’m very sore, but nothing I can’t handle.”

Rosemary had been ecstatic when she heard that Liv was in labor, and then even happier when she heard that she’d had the twins and both were healthy. She’d been looking forward to this moment when she got to meet them. “You know that I can’t help myself.” Rosemary said as she loved her sister dearly and already loved the twins.  She made her way over to her sister and the babies and looked down at their little faces. “Yes, I’d love to.”  The woman admitted as she was looking forward to it. “With any luck they will stay that way.”

Liv thought that Rosie was such a natural with babies, and she couldn’t wait for the day when Rosie had kids of her own, if she wanted that. She was a firm believer that it was okay to choose to have children or not have them. “I knew you would,” Liv said with a smile. “I’m sure they will be perfectly calm now and then be the exact opposite when we get home. Remember when Finn was like that?” Liv had seen it all when it came to babies, but she was a little nervous about juggling two. Thankfully, she had a great family around her to help when needed.

After the healthy birth of his newest grandbabies, Mal felt truly grateful for all the blessings his family had. The complete healing of his wife from her surgery after her illness and safe delivery of the twins now had Mal feeling like the Lord wouldn’t throw anything else their way for a while. At least he hoped. The Rhodes Farm was getting prepped for Christmas season, but Mal ensured he spent plenty of time helping his daughter and future son-in-law. “Now, this little boy is going to be a Godsend, I can tell.” He started to say, whilst holding Leo and sitting next to Liv who was feeding Leah. “Little miss only girl in the bunch, on the other hand…” He trailed off and chuckled softly. “She’s got your mammy’s stubbornness, I can tell already, squirt.”

Olivia was so appreciative of her parents help. She was a pro at one newborn baby, but two were a completely different story, so she was still adjusting. Enzo was a natural, and Liv was so proud of him. He was a great partner and therefore things were easier on her. “Isn’t he? He’s so calm, I think he might be my calmest baby so far,” she said, glancing at her father. Liv had honestly never been happier than she was right now, despite the exhaustion. Peeking at Leah under the nursing cover, she let out a laugh. “I would definitely say so. She’s been a little fussy and always wants to be held.”

Enzo’s eyebrows went up in wonder at being sent home. The hospital sent laboring women home? What in the fuck. Despite Leanne laughing, Enzo still felt concerned and worried with the upcoming birth of his twins. He wasn’t sure why he was so worried when his fiancé was the one that had to actually do the physical work. He tried his best to keep his composure, keeping Liv supported with his arms while offering a small, forced smile to Leanne. “Thanks, Mama Leanne. I’m going to try my best.” Enzo said lowly. His eyes went back to Olivia when she finally agreed that it was time. “Oh grazie a Dio.” He murmured in Italian before racking his brain at her question. “Yes..?” Enzo started to answer hesitantly then remembered that they did in fact finished packing the hospital bags. “Yes! They’re by the door. Er, we should, or.. I mean, I should go grab them really quick. Can you walk? Can you make it to my car? I can carry you.” He rambled on dumbly, his knowledge he obtained about birth apparently leaving his brain at this time.

To say Leanne was relieved that Olivia was finally willing to go to the hospital was an understatement. She could see the pain so clearly in her daughters face. “You’re doing just fine. Go get the bags and meet us in the driveway. Well take my car.” It would be easier, plus she didn’t trust enzo behind the wheel. Poor boy was a mess. So she went into delegation mode, helping Olivia to the car with towels in case her water broke. “Okay. Let’s go have some babies.” Once they retrieved Enzo she drove them to the hospital. “Deep breaths. In through the nose.” She told them both, watching Enzo as the nurses busied with getting Olivia settled in a bed. “Theirs some paper work. Do you want me to do it, or can you handle it daddy?”

Liv could see the genuine panic in Enzo’s eyes, and she couldn’t blame him. She had been just as panicked with Jake. Having your first child was an experience like no other. However, she was at the point where she couldn’t hide the discomfort anymore. She knew that it was go time and that the twins would be born sooner rather than later. “Yes, I can walk. I need to walk, that will help. Are you ready to go meet our babies?” Liv asked Enzo, managing a small smile. Liv went with her mother to the car and was relieved once they got to the hospital. She was, of course, put into a room right away. Soon enough, she was changed into a gown and had the monitors placed on her belly. She was happy to see Enzo and Leanne come into the room shortly. “I think it’s still going to be a while, but the contractions are definitely getting more intense,” she said, breathing through another one. @vincenzo-inendino​

Liv was so happy that the twins were finally born. The last few weeks of the pregnancy had been miserable, but it was worth it because the babies were perfectly healthy and were able to come home when she did. As soon as she and the twins were settled, Liv had texted Sylvie and asked her to come over and was glad when she said she would. Looking up from her place on the couch when she heard the door open and smiled at the sight of Sylvie. “Hey! I’m so glad that you could come by,” she said, happy to see her. “They’re both awake, so you don’t have to be quiet.” The twins were in their bassinet beside the couch.

Liv was fairly exhausted, but it was all worth it as she and Enzo now had two healthy newborn babies. It was a relief to know that they didn’t need NICU time, seeing as they were both a good size. They had been born for just about two hours, and it was surreal that they were here now. It was crazy how far they had come over the last several months. They went from not having any kind of label on their relationship when she got pregnant, and were now engaged and had beautiful twins. “Aren’t they just perfect?” She said, glancing up from the babies in her arms to look at Enzo. “I think Leo already looks a lot like you. Your noses are the same.”

“Do you want me to take Leah? I should probably feed her soon,” Olivia asked, letting out a laugh as she looked at her mother and her newborn daughter. Leanne was so smitten with both babies, but she knew the baby girl was special. No one ever thought Liv would have a daughter. She swore her body only made boys. “Birthing twins is no joke, I feel like I’ve been hit by a bus.” Liv was ready for some food and a nap. “Do you think I could get some McDonald’s brought up? I am in desperate need of a Big Mac,” she said, shifting a sleeping baby Leo to her other arm.

When the door opened and Liv saw Rosie, she couldn’t help but smile a big smile before looking back down to the newborns in her arms. Rosie was the best aunt, and the boys adored her so she knew the twins would too. Introducing her children to her sister was always a special moment. “I knew you would be one of our first visitors,” she said. “Do you want to hold them?” She asked, happy to give her the opportunity. “They’ve been pretty good babies so far for the few hours that they have been born.”

Liv wasn’t at all surprised that her birth plan hadn’t gone exactly the way she had wanted it to. She was originally scheduled for an induction today, but the twins came a full two days early while Anni was out of town so they had to be delivered by a different doctor. Besides that and baby having to be turned head down, it everything had gone smoothly and both babies were healthy. Liv was holding both newborn twins in her arms when Anni walked into the room. “Hey, how was your Thanksgiving trip?” She asked, a tired smile on her face. “I’m sorry these two were impatient and didn’t want to wait for you.”

“She just wants grandbabies and all of those sorts of things, and while I could adopt kids and raise them as a single mother, she is a bit of a traditionalist.” Harmony explained as that was the best way to put it. Children always been something she wanted, and she’d been thinking about adoption before her marriage imploded.  “Nothing major, that’s the thing. But I’d love to get one of my floors replaced, but that is more of a want than a need.”

“You can take a couple of mine if you need to” Liv offered, letting out a laugh. “But no, I get it. And I’m sorry she is so stuck in her ways. She needs to broaden her horizons and just let you live your life. If you want to be a mom, you do that. Doesn’t matter if your kids are biological or not. If you don’t want kids, that’s fine too.” Liv would always be in Harmony’s corner no matter what. “Are you thinking hardwood? Tile? Carpet? I might have some contacts who could help you for that project.”
