The Lover Without a Heart
..... Well this aged... Certainly
So... The new episode.... How are we feeling...
Personally it made me have a few seizures (positive) and an asthma attack because how much it physical harmed me mentally and I will never recover. I love this show 😔
CONNOR OH CONNOR
Connor.
Oh Connor.
Camp's favourite prankster, headcouncelor of cabin 11, fastest boy in camp, perfect messy dark brown hair and icey blue, mischievous eyes that drew anyone in.
Sometimes though, in the right lighting, his eyes looked white as daisies.
Stamina so great it could beat even the toughest gods', divicial knowledge so extensive it could shock even the people from the country itself.
Light skin puffed like pastrie, sweetest boy in camp—well not really, but he's sweetest boy in camp on the side of the silly campers.
He is very sweet, caring for all the people in cabin 11, which he is the headcouncelor of, and gods was he doing a good job.
Anyone in the right mind would love to be with him.
Percy, on the other hand, was everything he's not.
Now you must be thinking: 'Percy what are you talking about?? You're the litteral hero of Camp Half-Blood, savior of Olympus, Chosen One of the two Great Prophecies!'.
Yes.
That's exactly the problem.
Perseus Jackson had so much weight on his shoulders, so many expectations, so many responsibilities, so many past issues.
Connor Stoll didn't have that.
He wasn't the forbidden son of someone from the big three, he hadn't once been mentionned in any prophecy, and yet he still made it out of two wars with minor injuries because he's just that good.
Connor didn't have to watch his mother die in front of him at the age of twelve, Connor didn't have to think his only brother was dead because of him at the age of thirteen, Connor didn't have to witness two girl's death's at fourteen and then take the responsibility to tell one of the girl's little brother who than ran away and swore he hated him, Connor didn't have two porophecies about him, didn't have to accept the fact that his friend sacrificied himself for him to then tell everyone at camp the news.
No, but he was the first person to find out, because he had greeted Percy happily, like a friend, just to find out his friend died, and thought about Silena isntead of himself.
That's how you know how sweet Connor Stoll actually is behind all his jokes.
And that's probably why you liked him so much.
Connor had liked you too, of course, which is why he was now standing in front of Percy with red eyes, as if he was ready to attack him.
"She's gone!"
Percy's entire body froze.
Gone?
What do you mean 'gone'?
"And it's all your fault!" The boy continued, anger in his tone, taking Percy aback.
His fault?
Was it really??
"Connor." Chris Rodriguez tried, stepping forward, but an unclaimed kid spoke up just then. "No! Let him! The guy deserves it! He just had to break her heart over and over again."
It was Elliot. Percy recognized him from when you'd told him about making a set of personalized plectrums for him, since he was into music.
Gods, you were so sweet.
So thoughtful.
So.. gone..
"What do you mean 'gone'?" Percy finally spoke up. And when I say finally, I mean finally, cause he had been standing there like Medusa had succeeded in petrifying him back when he was twelve.
The younger Stoll wiped his face with his hands, putting a bit too much pressure on it for his own good.
Thinking about it now, he looked terrible. Bags under his eyes like he hadn't slept, hair messy like he'd been stressing himself out way too much, eyes red like he'd been crying every second of the day.
Seeing camp's happiest boy like this.. it made Percy's chest ache.
"I don't even know, Percy. We woke up one day and she was gone."
The son of Poseidons's blood litteraly froze, rillings going up his spine. "How—how long is 'one day'?"
"Last month." Travis stepped him, not looking all too good himself.
Percy's heartrate only started picking up. "She's been gone for a month..?" He breathed out. "Did she.. was it... gone in what way?"
Jackson had been gone for a few months himself two summers ago, because of Hera, of course.
Maybe this had something to do with a quest.
"Some say she ran." Cecil, cluthing his jellycat close to him, trying to remind himself of your smile, shyly mingled himself into the conversation.
But Cecil Markowitz was never shy.
"Others say she turned against us." He went on. "Leo think it's the same thing that happened to you, but I think he's just telling himself that to not break down at the thought of Y/n actually being gone."
Yeah, that figures, Leo Valdez loved you like a sister.
"And.. some camp leaders.." He didn't finish, like he couldn't get it out.
"They think she's death."
Percy's head snapped towards Connor Stoll, who was still angry with him, judging by his jaw that was clenched and the glare in his eyes.
"Either way, it's your fault. If you hadn't swooned all over 'perfect blonde girl Annabeth Chase', Y/n would have never felt so insecure about herself in the first place!"
Okay, now everything was starting to make less and less sense to him.
Swooning over Annabeth?
No! Annabeth was just a friend!
"I never swooned over Annabeth. What are you talking about?"
"Oh stop shitting me! Please! You choose Annabeth over Y/n all the time!" The dark brunette spat at the black haired boy.
"Worst thing, you asked her on a date, acting all lovely, and when she gets there she has to see you with that blonde girl! Again! And then she decided to put it all behind her because she just needed her friend, and even watching her cry, you leave to meet with Annabeth!"
A date with Annabeth?
Choosing Annabeth??
Is that really how they had all seen it?
No..
Poor Percy Jackson had only been incredibly in love with you.
You were the one rejecting him for Connor!
"You gonna stop staring at Y/n or what?"
Percy got snapped out of thoughts by the voice of his satyr friend Grover, who was sittin next to him at the pavillion, because he wasn't a demigod with a cabin, so he, unlike other campers, could sit at any table at any time.
The boy sighed, leaning further into the palm of his hand, not even trying to deny it. "She's so beautiful."
The satyr nodded. "True. Not prettier than Juniper though."
Percy frowned. "Yes she is??"
"No she isn't."
"She's litteraly the most beautiful girl ever. What are you on about?"
Grover glared at him before that stare softened. "You really should consider just asking her out already."
The boy's eyes widened. "Are you insane??"
"No. You are." Grover shot back.
"This has been going on for years. Years! You've liked her since before I even knew Juniper, so why aren't you with her yet??"
Percy directed his gaze towards you again, eyes softning as he watched.
"She's in love with Connor."
And there you were, having dinner with Connor Stoll.
He hated that.
Connor was everywhere you were.
You're unclaimed, meaning you live in cabin 11, the Hermes cabin, Connor's cabin.
Connor Stoll got to train with you, hang with you, do duties with you, sit with you at lunch without it being against the rules, he could be alone in a cabin with you cause you're cabin mates, while if he were to be alone in a cabin with you it would also be against the rules.
And he got to be with you all day. Even after curfew.
He probably got to watch you sleep, too.
Percy could only lay awake at night, imagening with you would look like while resting, expierencing such peace.
"Percy, Connor is like a brother to her, you need to stop comparing yourself to him."
"How can I not? He's everything I'm not, no wonder Y/n likes him."
"She doesn't. I promise. Just.. give it a shot, if she says no just tell her I dared you to do it and that it was just a prank."
The son of Poseidon gulped then. "You think she'd believe that?"
"If you have me as alibi, yes. Though you won't need it cause she's gonna say yes."
With that, the hero stood up, gulping, taking a deep breath, and finally making his way over to you.
Walking over, he saw you and Connor shoving a plate back and forth, a small argument forming as you did so.
He shoved the plate to you. "Come on, eat."
You shoved it right back. "Not hungry."
He repeated his earlier action. "I insist."
You shot him a fake smile. "So do I."
So, he figured he'd mingle himself into the conversation.
"If you guys aren't hungry, I am."
He watched as you and Connor both looked up to face him, and then, to all his luck, you smiled at him.
Gods your smile could just melt him.
"Percy." You breathed out, greeting him.
Seeing you smile, he smiled too. "Hi."
Connor started fake gagging, making both of you turn your heads. "Ugh, ew, romance, gods. Do that somewhere else please."
Percy saw you glared at the boy, so to make you feel better, shrugged it off. "Just friends, Connor."
Now, of course he didn't mean that, but you didn't seem to like the fact that Connor was linking the two of you with the whole romance thing, and if you liked Connor, which Percy was sure you did, he couldn't ruin your chances, right?
Even though it'd break his heart if you and Connor got together.. He just wanted you to be happy..
Son with a hesitant gulp, he sat down next to you, getting a reaction out of you at the action.
"Percy, you can't sit here."
"Can I not?" He asked with a tilt of his head and a smirk. It was just how he was.
"Is Hermes your dad?"
"No. Is he yours?"
"That's different, you know that."
"I do. Doesn't make it fair."
Because it wasn't.
Ever since he met you, Percy had hated the fact that you were unclaimed. Now, six years later, you still are.
Sleeping on the cold floor of a cabin that wasn't yours and never truly would be, getting neglected, overlooked an dignored by every other claimed camper, giving everything up for the other unclaimed kids, abandoned by your own parent.
It was unfair. You were the greatest warrior he'd ever seen, the smartest person he'd ever heard of, the most graceful person he had ever layed his eyes on.
You deserved more than a floor.
You deserved more than abandonedment.
You managed a small smile, catching Percy's attention again. Then you changed the subject, which he understood, because it wasn't to most fun to talk about how you were still unclaimed.
"You said you were hungry?"
The boy's face lit up at that. "Yes! Can I have that?" Refering to the lasagna.
You nodded, but before you could hand him the plate, Connor snatched it away.
"Hey!" Percy protested with a frwon. "That's mine! You said you didn't want it!"
"Yeah. So that Y/n could eat it. She's been skipping meals."
Percy's expression fell when he heard about that.
Skipping meals.
I mean yes, Percy had been noticing that you had lost some weight. His heart broke at the thought of you taking such poor care of yourseld.
"Oh." A bad 'oh". "Yeah. You should have this." Then took the plate into his hands and handed it to you.
"Not hungry." You repeated, stubborn as always.
The son of Poseidon didn't care, though. He was stubborn too.
"You have to eat, though."
"I already did."
"Liar. Eat."
You groaned before taking the plate for the last time, but Percy didn't care, he smiled as he watched you eat.
Connor had already gotten himself busy with Travis and Cecil, snickering about may the gods know what kind of prank they were gonna pull next.
As you ate, Percy started gettaring all of his courage together, about to finally ask the question.
He could do this.
Just be straight with her.
Honest. The way you were.
He can do this.
He can do this.
He can do this.
"So. You have plans later?"
Woah.
He actually did it.
He hadn't thought he would.
You blinked, swallowed your food as Percy waited in anticipation, and then, finally, he heard your beautiful voice.
"No.. why?"
Okay. You're free. You're told him that already. That's good. That's.. good.
"Well, I thought maybe you'd want to hang out. With me. Just us. At the dock.. alone.. if you'd like..?"
Percy watched you still, almost choking on your food, which sent an alarm throughout his entire body.
Did you.. not want to go out with him?
But then, you said something that made his heart explode.
"Yeah. I'd like that."
Oh my gods. Oh my fucking gods. You said yes! You said yes!! This is—woah—shit—why was his heart beating so fast.
Okay, okay calm down. Calm down.
You're gonna think he's crazy with the way he's just sitting here like this.
Luckily, he managed to get some words out. "That's amazing! I mean great, cool, yeah, uhm, I have to go now.. before Chiron sees me sitting at the wrong table again, but meet me there, at the dock, when the sun starts going down, okay?"
I didn't say they were smooth words.
You nodded, a bright smile shining, making Percy's mind feel dizy in the best way possible. "I'll be there."
"I'll be waiting."
And then he walked away, back to Grover, eyes wide, arms stiff next to his body.
"I did it.."
Grover gasped loudly, as if this was an actual shock, like he hadn't thought Percy would dare to.
"You did it??"
"She said yes."
"She said yes??"
"She said yes!!"
Both of them started jumping up and down, excited screams leaving their mouths before they realized they were being too loud and people were staring.
Incuding Connor and Travis Stoll.
Both of them cleared their troaths and sat back down, acting 'cool'.
After a bit of nocnhallant whistling and tapping their fingers on the wooden table, Percy slid closer to his friend.
"Dude."
"Bro."
"Pal."
"Bud."
"I don't know what to wear."
Oh this was going to be fun.
"Still can't believe you actually got Nico the shadowtravel Tyson over here."
"I have my way with words."
Leo Valdez was currently hanging upside down a bunk bed in bunker 9.
Why was there a bunk bed in bunker 9 exactly?
Well for Leo + Percy = 4ever sleepovers of course!!
It only made sense for Leo Valdez to help out his favourite hero of Olympus out with his date, surely because he was so fond of both Percy and you!
"Still can't believe you actually asked Y/n out." Grover retorted, copying Percy's earlier wordse.
Tyson stood on the side, watching with a wide and bright eyes, lips curled up into a smile.
"Y/n pretty!"
And the boys swore Percy could've melted right on spot. "She's devine."
Before his knees actually buckled and he fell on the ground, Leo caught him. "Woahhh, relax lover boy. Grover is almost done with your fit, and me and Ty Ty over there are also almost done with our little surprise for you."
Percy nodded, so the latino continued. "Why don't you tell us what you have in mind for your first date?"
The black haired boy smiled then. "Well as you can see, over there, I've been baking."
Percy had in fact been baking in bunker nine, the table full of ingredients and a few blue desserts already.
Leo had once built an oven in bunker nine before inviting some friends over for a baking sleep over.
Jackson figured it'd be easier for him to bake here where no one could see, than in camp's kitchen where people would get suspicous.
"We're gonna picnic by the dock, at the spot with the best view. It'll be when the sun sets and the moon come sout, because she loves watching sunsets and she's all about the night sky. Today there's a full moon. By Artemis, she'll love it."
Tyson seemed to be fully intot he idea considering he's now leaning over the work table, head in the palm of his hand, leaving Leo to work further by himself.
"I'll give her the gift I got her, a few flowers, maybe a jellycat. Then, if everything goes well.. I'll confess to her and ask her to be my girlfriend."
Grover Underwood genuinly had to catch his breath at that, not believing that after all these years, the moment he'd been waiting so long for, was actually happening.
"And if she if she says yes and I'm done having the heartattack that is definitly garantueed either way, I'll give her.."
"Her own magic mp3 player." Leo held it up with pride, as if it was glory itself.
"Every song ever made is on it. New songs will automaticly transfer to it. You gotta thank Lou-Ellen for that."
The son of Poseidon made a mental note to thank the daughter of Hecate later for that, like the son of Hephaestus had said.
"You need any help with the rest of the baking? Or setting the date up?" The satyr asked his demigod friend.
But Percy shook his head, declining, rejecting and refusing. "No. It needs to be special. I need to do it by myself or it won't be."
The curly head nodded, understanding. "Okay. Anyway, I finally decided what you're going to wear."
The satyr held out a blue gingham button-down shirt, a long-sleeved white shirt for underneath it, some baggy, blue pants, a watch and a necklace that would suit him perfectlty.
Leo Valdez, being the boy he is, cat-whistled at the sight. "Dam. She'll eat you up in that."
"Would she really??"
That earned him three weird looks and five eyes at him.
"Dam. Didn't know you were such a freak, Jackson."
After many and many hours of planning, baking and setting things up, Percy was finally done.
Walking through camp to finally get going, he wanted to be early, make sure everything is perfect before you arrived and calm himself down cause he was practically shaking.
But on his way to camp's dock, his attention got caught by some laughter.
He turned to see where it came from, when his heart dropped.
It was you.
With Connor.
It seemed like you were catching your breath, maybe even hiding.
He thought you might've pulled a prank, so it was fine, right?
The only reason you were standing so close to Connor Stoll, laughing so loud he thought you might collapse, touching his arms like that.. it was completly platonic..
At least he hoped.
He really, really hoped.
But then, snapping him out of his thoughts, again, he noticed what you were wearing.
A.. a cardigan?
Percy had never seen you wear something like that.
But gods did you look grogeous in it. Plus a light blue shirt, his favourite color.
And were those lacy ribbons in your hair??
Percy Jackson sincerly had to gasp for air, overstimulated by your beauty.
You looked so.. calm, so.. cute.
Wait—no. He wasn't supposed to be seeing you before the date.
Shit! He ruined it for himself! Fuck!
If he walked away quick and didn't take a real good look for details he could still be surprised when you showed up to the date.
Cause you were gonna leave Connor to come to him.
Of course.
For sure.
Or maybe not so sure.
Because Percy had been sitting on the blue picninc blanket for a while now.
But it's fine! He was too early, you were a bit late, it'll be okay!
And it would've been okay if Annabeth hadn't showed up.
"Percy? What are you doing here?" It sounded like she was about to laugh at him, like she thought seeing him sit here, all the effort he put in this, was amusing.
"I'm waiting for Y/n."
It made her gasp. Loudly. "Wait! Wait, wait, wait! You finally did it? You asked her out??"
The boy nodded. The girl's grey eyes widened.
"Whate the—I thought you'd never do it, oh my gods." She ploffed down besides him. "Really, I thought you'd get tied to the ground with seaweed from fear, but you're actually sitting here all dressed up."
The boy shot her a glare. "Haha."
She seemed to be enjoying it though. "Okay, enough teasing. Where is she now?"
"I came early. She'll be here any time now."
"Need company while you wait?" The headcouncelor proceeded to ask. "I mean that'd be nice, but maybe it would seem weird to her to see me sitting here with another girl."
Annabeth frowned at that. "She knows we're just friends, right?"
"Yeah, of course."
"So what's the big deal?" With that, her hand foudn it's way towards a blue cupcake.
Percy's eyes widned. "Wait! That's for me and Y/n."
"Kelpface, you must've baked more than Medusa did back in the day when we were twelve. She won't miss one cupcake."
With a sigh, he let it go, trying to relax like he wasn't stressing out.
He was just hoping you'd get here quick.
"You put a lot of thought in this." Annabeth said after a while. "Everything she likes is right here. And the view? Wow Percy, if she doesn't swoon over you now, that can only mean that you're realllyyyy hopeless."
At that, Percy's shoved Annabeth's shoulder, which made her laugh, making him laugh.
Gods was he happy.
The wars were done.
There weren't any quests.
He had friends that loved him.
And maybe a girl that loved him too..
Nothing could ruin this for him, not even a third war.
Well that's what he thought, but then thirty minutes went by and you still hadn't showed up.
It was getting awkward for him now.. and Annabeth seemed to think the same.
"Hey uhm.. I'm gonna head back to cabin 6 and.. read about litteraly anything." She stood up, brushing absolutely nothing off her pants.
"Good luck."
With that she was gone.
Percy let out a deep sigh, sitting here alone now, the breeze hitting him in every bed way possible.
The sun was going down now.
You should've been here to witness it with him.
He should've been watching the orange reflect on your beautfiul, soft skin right now.
You should've made fun of him or scolded him for staring at you for so long by now.
But you weren't here.
And forty minutes later you still weren't.
Did something happen to you?
No.
Apparently not. When he got back to cabin 3 and told Tyson he was worried something had happened, the cylops had told him he'd seen you walk into cabin 11 earlier.
So you.. you stood him up?
Was it all just a joke to you? A prank? Did you not want to go on a date with him? Did you not like him as much as he likes you??
Percy's heart broke as he ploffed down on his bed. Yet he couldn't fall asleep. No, Hypnos wasn't granting him that.
He just had to drown in the sadness he was expierencing right now.
And little did he know, you were doing to exact same thing right now.
You and Percy hadn't talked as much now. Mostly because he didn't know how to talk to you.
What would he say?
'Hey Y/n, how come you didn't show up on our 'date'?'
'Did you actually just stand me up??'
''Why would you do me like that?'
'You broke my heart.'
Yeah. No thanks.
But.. it had been weeks and he missed you. A lot. So maybe he should just try to talk to you. For real this time. Maybe you had reasons behind standing him up.
Cause really, Percy, you know Y/n, you know she'd never do something like that on purpose. You can't hold a grudge against her when you know something is off.
So, who could he ask better advise for than another girl?
And the only girl willing to do something like that for him was honestly Annabeth Chase, and even she wouldn't like it.
"Really? Girl advise?"
See! I told you so!
"I just need help talking to Y/n, okay? I probably did something wrong and I need to make up for it. And besides her, you're the smartest person I know—"
"Excuse me?"
"Oh don't kid yourself. We all know she's smarter."
Annabeth huffed, folding her arms over each other against her chest. "Well.. Y/n is my friend.. and she hasn't been looking all too happy lately."
The thought of such a sweet girl like you not doing well made something ache in Percy's chest.
"So help me make her happy again. Please. I'll do anything."
The blonde let out a sigh. "Okay. Meet me near the Big House at 4. I have duty so I'll come after."
The boy nodded, determinded. "Yes. Okay."
"And don't keep me waiting. I don't care what happens, if you're late, I'm gone, and you won't get your happy lovestory."
Okay. Just don't let anything get in your way! How hard could that be?
Well, apparently it was the hardest thing he's ever had to do in his life.
And he's fought in two wars.
But watching you cry in front of him near the Big House, begging him to just stay, and Annabeth yelling at him to hurry up.. it broke him.
It utterly, completly broke him.
"I need to go."
But the truth is, he didn't want to go.
"And I need you." You snapped, tears running down your cheeks. Percy just wanted to wipe them away so, so badly.
"Just this once. Please."
His eyes were desperate, head turning to Annabeth, back to you, back to her and stopping when he was looking at you again.
"I can't be the person you need.."
Saying those words, ones he didn't mean, made him want to stab himself in they mouth over and over and over again.
The sobs escaping you just made that desire worse.
But then, even crying, you nodded in acceptance. "Okay." It came out as a whimper. "Then I won't bother you again."
At that, his lips parted, like you just said something he didn't expect, like he was hopeless now, because he was.
No.
No, no, no, no, no!!
This can't be happening.
But it was. You were walking away!
'Not bother you?' No! Percy wanted you to bother him! He wanted you to talk to him at all times.
Did he just.. lose you?
Oh fuck no he was not letting that happen.
He was gonna go after you, and apologize a billion times until you forgave him, and then he'd listen. He'd listen to everything that has been on your mind lately and he'd try to help you.
That's what friends do. Even if he isn't your boyfriend, he could still be your friend.
But of course, his arm got grabbed. "Percy! Why are you just standing here. I thought you wanted advice on Y/n."
It was Annabeth.
"Okay so I've been thinking about it the whole day, and I know I had duty but I love Y/n and seeing her sad honestly makes me sad, so I found some solutions, but you need to.." Her voice trailed of as she noticed Percy's eyes wander and slowly watter.
"Percy?"
"It's too late." His lips trembled as he spoke. "I already messed up. She's never gonna look at me again."
Annabeth, confused as ever, followed his gaze to see you with him.
Connor Stoll.
Not to you, at least.
And he never would be.
When summer ended and Percy had to go back to his regular life in New York, he wrote you letters every day, it came to the point where Sally had to buy new papers, pens and envelops every week.
Mostly because Percy always decided his words weren't good enough for you and you deserved better than this every times so he propped the paper he was writing on, threw it away and started writing all over again.
The letters were never returned.
He tried Iris messaging, but the kept being declined.
So he used plan B, calling camp.
He tried that a few times, it was Mr. D who picked up all those times. Yet, when Percy asked to put you on the phone, he started laughing, got mad or said some typical Mr. D stuff before hanging up.
Then there was one time, when he came home with his hands full.
A boquette of flowers, multiple jellycats, lots of snacks, and even comics.
"Percy what is this all about?" Sally had asked him. "I'm sending this to camp, for Y/n, to let her know I still care about her."
He'd been at New York for over half a year by then, but his feelings for you had only ever grown stronger.
To his pure sadness, though, the package was returned to him only a few days after, signed by Mr. D and Hermes Express.
It looked like it hadn't even been opened yet, like you never even get the package, and he found that so unfair.
But what else could he do?
Every day, he woke up, stared at your picture (he had taken it off his mirror where pictures of other friends hung and putten it in a picture frame and set it down on his bedside table) and whisper a compliment to it every day.
"You're beautiful."
"You deserve the world."
"You're too good for me."
"You're divine."
"You're unreal."
"I love you.."
That last one was said the day he woke up to leave to camp, and it caught even him off guard.
Saying the words felt so natural to him, like it had been a truth written in the stars.
Percy Jackson loves you..
Yeah.. Yeah maybe he did.
So that was only more of a reason for his heart to break when he found out you had vanished from earth.
That brings us to the same scenario from the start of the fic, so let's just continue where we left off.
"I never went on date with Annabeth."
The cabin fell silent at that. "Yes you did." Travis said. "When you asked Y/n out and instead went with Annabeth."
"No! I asked Y/n on a date because I wanted to go on a date with her. Then Annabeth showed up and talked to me for a bit while I waited, but then she got going and Y/n—" His breath hitched.
"She never showed up."
"Now I know you're lying." Julia cut in. "Y/n saw you with Annabeth, of course she was there."
"I'm telling you she wasn't. I waited for over an hour. I—I planned the whole thing. I spend the rest of the day baking, I got her an amazing gift, I stressed over a good outfit, I even picked the perfect moment, I wanted to watch the sun set with her and the moon rise."
Connor's eyes widened at that, lips parting. "That's.. perfect for her. She loves watching the day fall into the night.."
"Because she loves the night more. She loves watching the stars, and the constellations, and the moon. It makes her feel better. I know."
But Connor didn't take that lightly. "You thought about it."
"Of course I did! I—" "Do you think she stood you up?" Chris then interrupted.
The boy ran a hand through his hair. "It felt like it, yes."
"Fuck." Chris breathed. "She saw you with Annabeth and she broke. She didn't come up to you, she just froze and left."
That made more sense, yes.
"That doesn't explain the fact that you left her to break down."
"It wasn't like that! I promise! I was gonna go after her but then she was already with Connor, and I wrote her letters every day I was in New York, and I tried calling but I never got a readl answer because fucking Mr. D wouldn't give her the phone, and I sent her gifts but they got returned and—" He was breathing fast now, because everything started to make sense, or at least some of it, because you were gone, of course he didn't get a response.
"These letters?" Cecil pulled out a box from under a bunk bed, filled with envelopes.
Fuck.
He nodded at that, so Travis spoke up again. "Why didn't you just visit during the vacations, she was still here back then, you could've talked to her, maybe she wouldn't have left if you just.. Why didn't you visit?"
"I was scared okay?!" Percy snapped.
"Scared of what??"
"Scared that if I came her she wouldn't want to see me. Scared that if I came here I'd see her with.. with him."
At that, they all turned to Connor.
"Me?" He asked, genuinly surprised. "I mean obviously you'd see me with her sometime. We're friens."
"No! Not like that!"
"Like what then?"
"Like.. like a couple.."
Oh.
Oh no.
"Percy.." Connor frowned. "Why would we be dating?"
"Cause you're in love?"
"In love?" The boy almost laughed, but then he realized he was supposed to be angry with him and depressed for you.
"No, that'd be weird, she's like a sibling to me."
Well that's a new one.
"Wh.. What?"
Did he just.. no.. he read everything wrong?? You weren't in love? Did that mean you said yes to that date because you genuinly liked him..
"Percy.." Connor slowly walked closer. "Are you in love with her..?"
The question felt heavy, like a weight added on his shoulders, like his heart was struggling to beat because of it.
Yet slowly, hesitantly, Percy nodded. "I do."
Now saying it aloud, it was real.
Percy Jackson loves you.
Connor Stoll gulped like it hurt. "She was in love you too."
And that's when he broke. Actually broke. Tears spilling from his ocean blue eyes like waves finally breaking free from the sea.
The Hermes kids and the unclaimed kids could only watch, their own hearts aching too.
"Is she really gone?" Percy then asked, looking up at them.
And when he only received nods, the tears spilled again.
Because while he had been so busy doubting himself and comparing himself with Connor Stoll, you had loved him in silence and in pain.
Percy had tried so hard to be the person you'd wanted to be, but you didn't want him to be anyone else, you didn't even want him to be Connor Stoll.
You just wanted him to be Percy Jackson.
And if that's who you wanted him to be, he could be that for you.
If only he found you first.
𝐈𝐌𝐌𝐈 𝐍𝐄𝐄𝐃𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐏 𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆:
hi! I just wanted to say that I'm so incredibly thankful for all the love and excited comments on this mini-series! I really didn't think it was gonna blow up so bad and so quickly (in one night alredy) but I'm so thankful that it did! I am really sad tho because I was rushing 'Annabeth Oh Annabeth' because I wasn't even allowed to be on my laptop, I had to go to sleep and my dad was getting impatient, so I just hit post without being able to actually add more details/better storylines etc, so the fact that it got so many people wanting more shocked me.. love you all tho and I hope you liked part 2!! and please have some mercy for Percy after this.... haha! mercy, percy, it rhymes! no but fr have mercy on him

Have my bsd x reader fiction from wattpad onto Tumblr because why not?
Reader is FEM. and is meant to be read and written as mentality... Ify. (this is my experience and how I tend to think)
What she sees MAY NOT be the truth or truly written correctly, more fact filled then what might be normal.
(Just to make clear she's an incompetent narrator.)
THIS IS X READER.
1.4k words. (1432)
Something that is somewhat upsetting to see is that commenting cultural on wattpad (or fanfiction) is dying out. As someone who still hasn't made the transfer to wattpad to Ao3 (I know, I know, I'm uncultured.) It's actually really upsetting. I remember the best part of the stories was going into the comments and their more funny then the book.
cmon..
Confusion
"Obey Me is a otome, otome means maiden blah blah Obey Me is for women blah blah" you fool. You idiot. You imbecile. The maiden part refers to them.

I'm writing a one shot about this. Like it deserves
why is this post completely broken in every way imaginable
Broken notes… deactivated account… removed image….
Finally, we have them all.
In addition: OP’s name is just… gone. No “[insert username]-deactivated[insert a bunch of numbers]” as is the standard for deactivated blogs.
Just the world “deactivated.” Look upon their post, ye mighty, and despair.
It’ll be almost impossible to find this post unless it wanders across your dash.
It's got like 2 notes as well for something that's been up for at least a month
Obey me isn't ending. It's just a trick from mammon so we leave his brothers alone. TRUST ME. YOU HAVE MY WORD🙏
Do I have a right to talk about the American election as a english person? No. But at this point all we are doing is watching it burn and burn and the fire extinguishers are somewhere but here.
How the hell do people let a CONVICTED FELON become president. He wants to fuck his daughter and a felon?
I swear Hitler is blushing and giggling at watching this. I'm talking history for school no expert because yknow, school history but everyone in my class can see the early signs of a dictator in Trump. And pointed out by a few upperclassmen, similar signs Hitler had, then people ignored.
He actively wants to kick out immigrants. Now you may be thinking;"but he wants illegal immigrants ou-" *loud incorrect buzzer* he said 25 million (I believe could be wrong) there are not that many illegal immigrants there. If I'm right there's currently 13.3 mill in the USA. So where is the 11.7 million coming from? Unless he was was padding up the numbers witch, I guess we all do at times, exaggerate
Similar to a certain dictator im learning about both are against the gays. Well if project 2025 is anything to go about. Talking about that.
They want to control what is being taught in schools. "Woke" this would ,I imagine also include anything against their party. Because wanting to be on the not wanting controlling women's bodies, inforcing Christan nationalism and wanting a future Left if considered woke. Sounds familiar? Treachery Act of 1934. Witch allowed them to punish people who spoke out about the German Reich (Nazi).
The election voting was also very.... Strange, several voting ballots were destroyed, misplaced or out right bribed. Now if this happened in 2020? The Trump voters would be SCREAMING. Begging for a recount until everything is fine. But he won so why care about democracy? Even if he wasn't a horrible excuse or cum and an egg, it would still be right to redo the voting.
I have friends in America who could VERY well be in DANGER because of this. It's not just about my friends but everyone who this effects
But hey, I'm just a teenager in the UK who is an outsider, I'm not from you're country. My facts could be wrong. I'm not saying everything here is the Goispal and is true. Because I'm still a teen I don't understand most laws in the us. I could of got my figures wrong. But even if the rules were made with the purest PUREST intentions, so was article 48 in the Weimar constitution. Meant to led a damaged country during times of crisis so the president didn't have to wait for laws to be passed., then used by Hitler to get what he wants. I'm just saying.
Also he wants to ban AO3. So like... That too
