Oh my sweet boy!! I actually really liked him and his proper manners, he's my 2nd fav and he was so cool during the final battle. HOWEVER him ignoring Emily & hurting her in that way "for her own good" took a lot of points off. The epilogue in Japan was super sweet though

DGSHDG SWEETHEART! I loved how he tried to cheer Emily up after Akechi did his whole "I want to have nothing to do with you" charade. He even fought Akechi just for her, even though he lost.
The "firework" scene was too precious 😭
Could have easily been a love route!!

OUR GIRLLLL!! Emily & Marple truly are BFFs 4ever. I love how she reprimanded EVERYONE and helped Emily out however she can. The baking scene was so sweet, she was so patient and kind to Emily & even scolded MF PENDLETON!! 🤣 No one dares to do that but her fr

Seeing Watson and Holmes be sweet together is always nice. It felt more like an extra chapter of the common route, though. Still thought it was interesting. It was sweet how they both performed together & you could tell Holmes (also) has feelings for her 🤭
Holmes
My 3rd fav! Honestly, this route was everything I expected it to be. Holmes finding out how he feels way too late. Him being bratty towards his father was so funny 😆 Him being cheeky yet caring toward Emily is his charm. Lupin being the "villain" threw me off though!
Watson
When I saw they were childhood friends/first love, I already had a bad feeling. And it turned out to be my least fav route. I don't dislike Watson but him beating around the bush & keeping Emily away bc he isn't "good enough" for her was not it. Not to mention Emily too!
Lupin
Tbh not a fan of Lupin nor his route. Spicy scenes were sweet though, so this made him "only" my 2nd least fav. I liked his father & Lupin'd 've listened to him.Constantly putting Emily in pain bc of his lies & inability to talk to her about his revenge for mom was not it.

I had a feeling he'd be my fav & I WAS RIGHT!! He was ever so kind to Emily despite him being a murderer. He absolutely didn't deserve having to be a spellbound toy & he was way too kind to Moran. Bradley was an annoying POS as well as the police 🫠
Grande Finale
It introduced 2 new characters & popped up more questions than it solved which kind of ruined the ending for me. Like wdym "To Be Continued" - there's no continuation 🙂 I did enjoy the fight between Emily & her LI and Moriarty. It felt like Holmes true route tbh
Overall
I did enjoy the plot a lot and I'd def recommend others to play it. Emily, the MC, can sometimes make you grit your teeth but she's generally an enjoyable otoge MC. The LIs are all different personas, so there's one for everybody.
The convention day was almost over so my cosplay already started to fall apart, therefore I barely got any good takes but I managed to salvage those three a bit.
Gosh, the more I romance Gale, the more I am annoyed how misunderstood he is and how his trauma is just ignored or even denied by people.
Mystra did so much damage to him, she's awful. I really can't stand her.
I also really don't understand people being annoyed about him talking "that much" about her, she is not just his ex but also the Goddess he admired and loved the most and she stabbed him in the back and never truly made him feel worthy of her. She could have talked to him WAY earlier about the truth of the orb inside him as well, even if what he did was wrong, he should have known what exactly he has done, what it actually is and how it works. And UGHH I just can't stand her selfish butt.
Also, him talking about Mystra in his tiefling party romance scene makes sense. Mystra & magic was a part of his life since childhood, being worried about what is to come and thinking about her and what it means for his relationship with the magic that Mystra herself commands is kinda...understandable??? I never judged him for it, Tav and Gale weren't truly close at that point in time, being upset about him not diving head into flirtations and sexual intimacy makes sense. Not just for his complicated feelinsg about his ex Mystra but also for his personality.
Plus it was also a good way to learn more about Gale before the Underdark section, in my opinion.
To this day, I still wonder how exactly "Evelynn", the Tav OC of someone, got so popular that people made tons of edits & used it as background for phonk videos with the limited material and even cosplayed her?
Evelynn did look like your typical e-girl, so design wise it wasn't anything special??
I understand loving someone's original character but usually when that happens, the creator has a lot of information and/or fanfiction of that OC put out there but with Evelynn I didn't see much information at all??
This is no hate to the creator nor original character, I'm simply still confused they blew up like that out of nowhere??
I just saw someone mod Halsin's body hair away and...I love mods but some of the bg3 mods that are out there make me wanna cry. Some just take away characters unique features and make them into a generic "handsome/beautiful" character and my heart breaks a little. Not to mention the "anti-woke" mod list but those ppl are beyond help anyway.
Honestly, I'm surprised about the amount of hate Gale and Wyll get. I do understand that they may not be everyone's type but most of the hate seems...forced?
I initially played Baldurs Gate 3 without interacting with the fandom and just enjoyed the game, actually really loving each character. Only in my second playthrough I started to engage with the fandom and was genuinely at a loss at how much they are disliked - and not just by cishet (white) men. In fact, most hate I have seen came from women, which I thought would be a lot more into them, esp het gamer girls. Especially since a lot of the hate is for weird reasons like Wyll's voice or the fact Gale needs to eat magical artifacts (which he needs 2 or 3 times at most and you do get a lot of loot you can dispose of through giving it to Gale??)
