Summary:          Lucien visits Jean Matthew and Alice’s relationship grows as Matthew shares a vulnerable moment with Alice

Notes:          As always, Thank you for continuing to read my little story. I know I’m not the worlds most regular updater, but you can be sure I fully intend to finish writing this. This chapter includes some slightly OCD behaviour from Alice. I’m not saying I think she has OCD, I just like to think that’s just part of her adorable ADHD charm. It also includes Lucien giving Jean some strong pain killers and asking some questions about addiction.

This story has been an incredible struggle for me since I was first inspired to try writing it, and I haven’t made it much of a secret how much I have come to hate it.  But this chapter right here, this is the first thing that I have been truly proud of in a very long time.  And I know it’s probably a bit much, but I have poured my heart into this and I really hope you guys like it.  Because this is the moment I don’t think I realized I was building towards.  And I am immensely proud of it.

The words so exactly echoed the doubts, the thoughts, that she had been harbouring for days that Sam gulped, drawing down oxygen until her lungs were so full she began to panic.

Sam snorted as she reached for her bowl. “You’ll find a way out of it, Sir,” Sam told him, putting more confidence into the statement than she felt. “When my O’Neill had the Repository of the Ancients -“

“Encyclopaedia Galactica,” the General interjected.

That made Sam grin, “- Downloaded into his head, the download seemed to have some sort of failsafe, providing him with what he needed to know to reach out to the Asgard for help.”

The General eyed her, “Major, did you plan this out so that I would be forced to contact the Asgard?”
