A slow-working spell jar to encourage my aggressive neighbor to forget about us and leave us alone.
**Please note that we have taken as many practical steps as possible to protect ourselves; we have installed two security systems and cameras, made our situation known to local law enforcement, and have taken out a peace order. Never rely solely on witchcraft if you can take additional steps to help yourself.**
Honey offered to St. Rita, patron of abuse victims and impossible situations
Water charged during a solar eclipse (to speed the cycle of spell fulfillment)
Bay leaf - to protect the home and thank the house spirits
Lavender and poppy seed - to calm the mind, lull to passivity, relax, and sedate
Valerian - double purpose of sedation and reversing bad situations
Chia seed - to encourage target to make healthy choices for self and family: It is better to live peacefully and not poison relationships so near the home
Sycamore bark - to strengthen family and harmony
Bluebird eggshells - for family protection, peace, and a reminder of what a delicate situation we are in
Amethyst - for emotional balance, mental health, easing anxiety. Calms angry tempers and encourages reason. Deflects toxic behaviors and unhealthy rage
Rose quartz pendant - forgiveness and love of self and others. Soothes anger and resentment. Acceptance of change. Respect of boundaries.
Petition paper with target’s name crossed with the names of my household members, and the intent (”lose interest in us forget why you hate us leave us in peace”) written in an unbroken circle around the names. This was then wrapped around a dried sprig of Statice flowers (representing forgetfulness) and tied with a light purple ribbon.
After making sure that all of the ingredients - especially the petition paper - were thoroughly covered in honey, I placed a small amount on my tongue and closed the lid. As I placed the candle on the lid, I whispered the name of the target to the flame as well as the words at the beginning of this post.
I conducted the spell on a slate marked with a sigil by @strangesigils meaning “I FEEL SAFE IN MY HOME.” The chalk was washed off into a pot and poured out onto our front walkway.
The jar is currently resting beside my statue of St Rita and I will refresh it with more herbs, honey, and wax as needed until the jar is fully sealed.
(I also set my widow’s peak on fire while I was tranced out and repeating the words, so uh … be careful of fire, folks, your hair doesn’t take much to go up in flames)
