I’ve always liked how closely the symbols of the Jedi Order and the Rebel Alliance resembled each other, and I have this headcanon that after the rebellion started to gain traction, some of the straggling Jedi left in the galaxy came out of hiding (Kanan, lookin’ at you) to make their final stand against the Empire. Maybe a few of them started embellishing the Rebels’ graffiti with their own taunts.

AW GEE! Thank you!! I’m so glad I was able to get those characteristics across the way I draw him! To me, he’s harder to draw than Anakin (which is why I tend to draw Anakin more), but step by step I think I’m starting to figure him out!

I think there are quite a few people that don’t understand what the Force is in Star Wars. This is partly in fall due to Legends not understanding. It’s not a magic system. It is a religion. It is an energy field, connecting all of life and it is viewed in a religious sense not a magic system sense. That’s why when people talk about power ups and stuff like that I just kinda look at them funny and go “it’s not about power it’s about connection.“ the Jedi forge a connection with the Force they have a relationship with it. They allow themselves to be emptied out and let the Will of the Force move them in ways that help other people because the Will of the Force is for the protection, love cooperation of all life in the galaxy.

The ones who look at the Force at a power source are the Sith who are framed in the series at least most of the time(unless under the direction of incompetent writers and yes, I will go back to my favorite punching bag writer Karen Traviss) as the bad guys.

Edit: the movies make it clear that it’s a religion. So does SWTCW. Heck the canon material put out by Lucasfilms makes it clear.

Hey have we considered that the reason that one guy in the Prequels was really chill about offering some Jedi death sticks isn't some massive conspiracy that the Jedi are all doing massive amounts of drugs, or even that he didn't realize they were Jedi, but instead that arresting people for non-violent drug offenses is fucking evil and the Jedi aren't cops? And the people of Coruscant generally know that as long as they're not killing people the Jedi aren't actually interested in fucking them over?

In The Clone Wars season 2 episode 22 "Lethal Trackdown"-- written by George Lucas, Dave Filoni, and Drew Z. Greensburg -- we clearly see Jedi Master Plo Koon and Padawan Ahsoka Tano use the Force to evade paying the public transit fare on Coruscant -- after checking to make sure that the transit droid isn't going to catch them. There's no plot reason for them to skip the fare, they just do it out of seemingly habit.

The Jedi do not give a fuck about non-violent crimes against the state -- they are actively committing those crimes themselves.
