the more i think about it the more upset i am getting. this sport is so fucking bad that the athletes that love it and put their all into it are getting severely injured and mentally scarred just to do it. the way this sport is currently being run is quite literally sucking the fun out of it. you have one in the hospital, one in medical center, another having an emotional episode. this was truly an abysmal race. you still have the winners trying to enjoy it but how can they? the garages were a mess, MULTIPLE riders under tire investigation. it was one of the messiest things I've seen in a while and for what? who enjoyed this? who was this for? because it wasn't the riders, and it wasn't the fans. it is HARD to watch any of these men (whether you like them or not) suffer just to do the sport they have spent their lives loving. they have ZERO support from the people that are supposed to mediate on their behalf and protect them so that the sport can be as safe as possible and still be entertaining. this wasn't entertaining, this was watching gladiators perform for the wealthy owners. and now we have street circuits being added...someone is going to die and even then it feels like nothing will change. it isn't worth it now and it certainly won't be worth it then...
