VERY complicated, and not being able to actually remember anything about her besides her breakdown and disowning of him especially complicates his ability to actually sort through his feelings on the matter.
i think pre-memory loss, their relationship was still strained but mostly due to the rest of the family and the expectations put on the both of them. he was unfortunately very aware any failing on his part would also be considered bad on his mom for "not raising him right".
the situation as a whole did allow a lot of resentment to grow in both of them that finally all came out after lethe's big human transmutation oopsie. so the whole abandonment stuff took a really long time for lethe to get over. long story short, its something lethe still feels angry and upset over, but he has a lot more understanding for her than he does the rest of their family. he more blames the other members of his family, and the emperor for putting them all in that situation in the first place.
i do like to think a while into the future, since the both of them have since gotten away from the rest of the family, his mom does attempt
to reach out and they actually have the chance to reconnect and have a much better relationship without all the family nonsense and emperor bullshit looming over them, and once they can finally just act like normal ppl it's obvious lethe is just a little copy of his mom in a lot of ways lmao

he has TOO MANY siblings (over 40) and he wishes he had less he can't keep track of all these mfers. and he may be an amnesiac but he wont forget a lot of these ppl used to want his ass dead smdh.

lethes own upbringing and issues with his parents and him hating his dad and hating the selfish reasons why his dad had kids in the first place has given him a lot of complicated feelings towards the idea of himself being a parent.
lethe likes kids and gets along with them well. i don't think he thinks he would be a /bad/ parent, but i think he's aware that his anxieties towards his own upbringing would have an impact on how he would parent both good and bad. i think lethe would worry that in an attempt to give a kid the childhood he himself never had, he would end up being a little TOO laid back, but at the same time would obsessively worry about a lot of shit out of his control.
