A goyische friend asked, in the light of the Chabad shooting, what he can do. i’m about to lose my cat

we’ve been recently evicted from our current apartment and are trying to move into a new one, but the pet deposit on the new apartment’s lease is absolutely ridiculous. my mother told me that most likely i’m going to have to give up my cat in order to move into the new apartment, and i am desperate to not have to do that. sisu’s been my best friend for over six years and i’d absolutely break if i could never see her again, or hold her in my arms, or hear her purr next to me at night. please, i need help. please, please, please. the pet deposit is over $400. please, please help me.
