Appearance: a young pale-skinned woman in her early 30’s, but could pass as a high school student. Messy long black hair. Green eyes. Rebuilding her life in the stoneworld has made her body more lean than it ever was previously. Dresses in a lot of black. Wears capes, cloaks, boots, gloves, sometimes even a witch hat and a staff. May go out in a plague doctor outfit.

Vesper was a psychology graduate student during the petrification event. She studied under a professor who researched the effect of the physical and social environment on human and animal cognition and behavior.
She always fantasized about running away to the woods and living off the grid since she was a child. When she was younger, (16-24 years old) she did a lot of research into the subject but then scientific career priorities predominated her life over time.
She has special interest in old architectural techniques that have stood the test of time such as East Asian wooden brackets, bamboo-reinforced masonry, and mud buildings.
She has another special interest in the use of plants as herbs and medicines. She can identify local plants in her area.
She has probably 4-7 more special interests she forgot or abandoned over time. They may or may not include environmentalism, witchcraft, philosophy, aquaponics, and textile crafts.
Where she lives now in the stoneworld is where she was staying at an Airbnb off-grid house, she was taking a break from her research. The place had a root cellar full of food preserved in jars and empty glass bottles and jars. After 3,700 years, most of the jars were broken but the shards proved useful.
She wears glasses and wore pinhole eyewear before somehow getting or making real glasses.
Where she lives now is the cumulation of all her research and some practical experience she had about the off-grid lifestyle. Complete with a green roof and a compost heap.
She also has ponds full of crayfish and uses the dirty water to fertilize her crops.
She has been making books recently, as in binding books by hand.
The circumstances of her depetrification are still undecided/a mystery.
