I need to, like, blog about my doll projects again. It's been awhile.

Sooooo, I got a 3d printerrrrrrr... 💅

It's a Bambu P1S with an AMS, and I love herrrrrrrrrr 💖💖💖💖💖

Haven't actually printed many doll specific things with it yet, but I've printed a couple friends for Ghaleon:

(Ziro's tricolor matte PLA is so cool. Vladislav cats both found on myminifactory, tho I did modify the smoother Vladislav to be printable without supports.)

And I've been sculpting heads in Blenderrrr.... 💅

Gant and Von Karma cuz I've been on a Gankaru bender for the past 5 months or something

And my own take on Ghaleon, though of course I could never retire the Obitsu Slim Male 01 head for him! I just require infinite Ghaleons, in lieu of him being a real live slutty elf man.

(Head and hair sculpted by me, body is a free mini I found on thingiverse and decapitated because Ghaleon wanted the dress.)

Gonna print him out after I've finally succeeded printing Butt Jars for @shiftythrifting , slowly ironing out problems with the 3rd party filament I chose... oh, I was gonna post pics here but I forgot mobile tumblr has that 10 photo limit. Imagine Beet Poot, but he's got a bad case of chin acne.

Anyway, that's what I've been up to lately!

Still wanna do a big doll parts destash at some point, tho it's even harder and more expensive than ever to mail stuff. =_= One of these days, tho.

Soooooo I've fallen into the realm of 3d sculpting. :B I'm a complete newbie at Blender, but in spite of that I'm actually kinda good at it?? Completely unexpected. Here's a WIP of a "cotton doll" style Ghaleon figurine I started making yesterday! Now that I've made this body base, I could make the entire Lunar cast, couldn't I... Planning on putting the stls of whatever I end up making on my patreon for my supporters to play with! :3c

There might be a future where I have the energy and focus actually shade everyone and do better inks with a pen that's not so chaotic, but hooboy that's not right now. ^^;;

Also I don't actually have process pics of this one that are worth sharing, I think... Wait, here's one:

(the problem is the process pics i have are all so chaotic i can't tell what's different between each one, so... this is the earliest one, and it was before i decided to add some fairies, which makes it different enough to be interesting, or something. ^^;;;;)

I really want to write out some of my thoughts from replaying (and finally beating) Eternal Blue Complete soon, like I did when I finished replaying SSSC.

But gosh darn it my head's still stuck in SSSC post-game comic/fic town. Got a new one bubbling on the stove:

Luna's unaddressed (but valid!) anger issues cause her to leave Burg abruptly, as she seeks out her own adventure on the main continent. What she finds are answers to questions she never knew she'd been asking, and acceptance she didn't realize she'd been yearning for.

But just as she begins to feel like her journey has changed her to the point that she may never be able to return home... "home" comes to her, as the port of Meribia becomes flooded with the refugees of Burg. In her absence the island of Caldor succumbed to an endless, inhospitable winter.

Now Luna must grapple with the consequences of Althena's final actions, the goddess's decisions that Luna herself wasn't responsible for... yet that she must now take up the burden of responsibility for, as Lunar faces a systematic stress-test the likes of which the dead goddess failed to imagine could occur in her absence...

And can the family Luna left behind come to terms with, or even comprehend, the damage the ignorance of Burg caused her? Can they accept the new family she's found to "replace" them? And where have the fairies gone??

This past summer @videogamequeens put out a call for fanartists to draw an interpretation of a cut Suikoden character; Grandmother De Boule

I've never played any of the Suikoden games, but I love character design challenges, especially ones involving classic JRPGs. So here's my attempt at bringing Vincent's g'ma to life!

Since that short description was all I had to work from, I spent more time than I care to admit trawling the web for Baroque era fashions that seemed to vibe with Vincent's look, and decided to combine elements from these two paintings:

I like how she turned out! Gotta love a petite, unhinged granny with justice and MURDER in her soul. >:3

Finally, I don't speak French at all, so my apologies if the dialog I went with is wonky. ^^;; I spent several hours browsing language blogs to piece it together, and idk if I really nailed the tone or not. ^^;;;;;;

I'm not sure how this one went from gag doodle to Klimt-inspired, but that's what happened. If I turn off the text layers you'd never even know, but the text layers are load bearing and I shall not compromise!

ghalliebutton.clip Another one of the random old doodles I scanned over a decade ago and was like "Well... I might as well color it since I scanned it." Which turned into "I kinda hate this drawing, so I might as well paint over it completely."

It's kind of a pointlessly sulky portrait of Ghaleon, but I like how it turned out! Various process images below:

"A New Perspective" This 2-panel doodle was inspired by the beep!21 Lunar interviews @indigozeal has been translating over the past couple years!

Specifically, there's a section discussing what Lunar 3 could have been like and it mentions bringing back Ghaleon and taking place on the Blue Star (which is almost but not completely ready for inhabitants.) And my mind just went nyooooooom: Ghaleon getting a view of home from the surface of the Blue Star LET'S GOOOOOO~

I originally whipped out the concept sketch like right after reading one of the first parts of the interviews that she translated, back in 2022, and then poked at it off and on for the next couple of years. ^^;;

But it's finally done! Except for all the little things I keep seeing that I'd like to fix. :B Eh, no, it's done. It's DONE!! Thanks again @fyeahlunar for prompting me to finish this one, and thank you so so much @indigozeal for all the incredible translation work you've done for the Lunar fandom over the years! :3
