Tiktok is scary cause every time I’m on there I see a video of someone getting recorded unbeknownst to them. I even see people recording others while they’re in their homes. I feel like women, children, the elderly, and people with disabilities are especially targeted. Like they’re not seen as human, but an object in the recorder’s environment. As if they exist for the sole purpose of making the recorder and viewer laugh. When did this peeping Tom behavior become mainstream? When did we decide that no one is allowed to be themselves in public?
