This show had ZERO fucking oversight it’s actually good

They’re all nonbinary

There’s an entire section of just among us VR

The animation for the imposter is noticeably better than the rest of the show

There’s a 12 Angry Men bit

Most of the crewmates hate capitalism

There’s completely unnecessary amounts of blood and sorta brutal deaths

The characters cuss and occasionally flip each other off

Absolutely dumb visual gags

There’s an entire half an episode where they get high on oxygen deprivation and hamster pile naked

During that same bit one of the crew mates is just played by a guy in an inflatable costume in front of a green screen

And all of it is just played completely fucking straight

I don’t think people understand that the issue with the Gameoverse pilot is not the fan service in itself, but the fact that said fan service ONLY applies to the women.

It would be fine and dandy (and even a little comedic) if they had a bunch of muscular beauty standard grade men alongside the women, but they don’t. Even just having a variety of body types among the women would make it a lot better. But no everyone has kit’s body type ??

“It’s to stay true to video games!” They’re not being held at gunpoint to make every woman skinny. They have creative freedom.

It’s perfectly fine to have stereotypical attractive women/fan service in a show but it gets to a point after every female character has the same build whilst male characters are so diverse.

“B-but crab girl!” She has less than a minute of screen time. She has a GREAT design, but she doesn’t make up for the lack of representation along the rest of the show’s characters

This is not sexualizing kit’s body type, either. It’s pretty clear she’s meant to be attractive, alongside everyone else with the same body.

Anyways I may have gotten some things wrong this is just my little rant about my issues with the show

This debate needs to stop turning “curvy women bad” and more into “we need more diverse female designs”

Girls who not only not the hourglass body design, but don’t even have human like bodies like Kaboodle

Because while it’s good for curvy women to exist in media you can’t shy away from other unique body types
