I was rereading Little Lion Man and I couldn't help but be overtaken by a thought. How do you think original Ventus would feel about everything ends? Like he was a lonely kid, and when he was broken it only intensified in both halves. But through his broken halves he ended up having apprentices instead of being the one protected. Despite all his worst traits being intensified on both ends of the spectrum, he was able to do for others what he needed and never received (an actual adult).

This is a heartbreaking ask nonny. Like genuinely, a very rude ask.

I can't say too much for spoiler purposes, but I do think that 'Ventus' would be over the moon to see what he probably saw as the worst parts of him in the place Vanitas will be. It's very hard to say more than that.

While I know that Vanitas looking like Sora is because of Sora helping Ven, I do find it really fun how both Sora and Vanitas are unhoused from their own bodies and look alike, while Roxas and Ven who *are* their bodies look alike.

Also I think Sora should get some of that itchy angst that Vanitas has about wanting to be one with their body but unlike Vanitas, Sora has zero clue on why he has a simultaneous really nice warm feeling with Roxas but also literally wants to crawl into Roxas' skin with an intensity he's doing his best not to look at. Basically he should be weird about it. For sexy thematic purposes.

It is really ironic when you think about it! The heart hotel, coded by body or heart in appearance (and xion is there too. Kairi also, technically. Namine--)

Also I adore them being weird about each other in soooo many ways. Just...wait a short while, haha. You're about to see a fair amount of this precise concept from me.

What are your thoughts on SoVani?

I actually really adore sovani, it's one of my favorites. Ironically my love for it is very heavily based in AUs I've done over the years, so I don't have the deepest thoughts about it canonically. I can definitely seeing it being something where Sora doggedly goes after Vanitas from the perspective of 'everyone can be saved', whilst Vanitas cuts right to the heart of why Sora does fixate on him; it has nothing to do with saving Vanitas, so much as proving Sora himself is something salvageable. There's a delicious opportunity for a lot of angst between the two of them, the ever present redemption arc that a lot of Vanitas fans seem keen on-- but also a corruption arc for Sora, which.

Well, I'm writing LLM. It might be platonic, but there's certainly a little bit of both redeeming and corrupting going on in that.

That said, feelings about fictional characters are less important than impacts on real people.

Feeling really strongly about a fictional character is valid, using those feelings as a license to be out of pocket at creators or other fans or just anyone else frankly is Not.

While I know that Final Fantasy worlds don't really exist in Kingdom Hearts, and that Yozora/Quadratum is Nomura's next attempt at doing Versus XIII, do you think Noctis would count as a Princess of Heart? With a heart that banishes the darkness of ffxv's incredibly dark world? Or like an artificial princess of heart Light *Thing* kinda like Kida in Atlantis? Or even sorta like Ven where all that dark got scraped out, only this time by gods and not a keyblade

I’m gonna be real I’m not hugely caught up on XV’s lore- I mostly enjoyed the back street boy camping simulator and thought the story was very poorly executed (in terms of how it was spread over a ridiculous amount of media, including cancelled DLCs. Poor FFX you and KH are so alike in that way). I do think the idea is neat even if I think that Noctis is too dark a character to be emblematic of the Light- my assumption would’ve been Lunafreya as the princess of Light on that world, if there even was one. There’s been a few fics about it in the KH verse that are Very Good however, so I’d definitely recommend seeing what’s up on AO3!

Noctis doesn’t really hold the light within himself exactly, so much as his sacrifice into the crystal is like an activating element that causes the reaction of the darkness being banished from eos. Like honestly if the LightTM exists on eos I think it makes the most thematic sense, if nothing else, for its origin point to be the crystal itself. so noct is just kind of a vector for an outside force of light. More like Sora if compared to anyone…. But that’s my unasked for and unrequested take on an anon that wasn’t sent to my blog. Hi bird
