“I can’t remember anything bad between us,” I said. “You will,” he responded. “And so will I. But what does it matter what we remember?” “Yes,” I said, “we’re both still here."

man imagine going 73 years thinking that blond bitch is going to come out any minute and expose your marriage built on lies only for your one-that-got-awaytionship from 50 years ago to return in leveled up gilf form and do it instead

"You only like the creature now because he's played by a hot man"
False. I have loved the creature since I first read Frankenstein as a teenager and, loving this character, I can still acknowledge his flaws (he has none) and I can hold him accountable for his wrongdoings (he has never done anything wrong in his life) and call him out on his actions (which are always correct)
I saw that scene on the boat and that's all I could think of
Can we talk about this diva. She had two (2) lines in the entire movie and she absolutely killed it. Such an icon. I can’t stop quoting her. She speaks in cursive. I love her.

Girls literally only want one thing
Guillermo del Toro on the Creature
I wanted the movie to test the capabilities of every single craft in moviemaking. There are huge sets, huge props, complex wardrobe. I wanted it to feel like an old movie that was made in the heyday of Hollywood. Luscious, and beautiful, and operatic and all that. [...] 'cause I didn't want the audiance to go, "Oh, it's digital," because once you introduce that, it's like a license for people not to believe things. [...] If you do it for real, people have a sense.
FRANKENSTEIN 2025 Dir. Guillermo del Toro
WHO ELSE UP FRANKEN THEY STEIN RN
when a child goes to Build-A-Bear and constructs a teddy from the parts available no one bats an eye, but when I, Victor Frankenstein,
frankenstein (2025) is a movie about the cycle of violence and the inevitability of violence and about the miracle of being kind. it is a beautiful and touching adaptation that takes a unique view of some of the story’s focal points while staying true to the novel’s themes. it is also a movie that aims to remind us that the original creature textually had long flowing locks, for which I think we should all be thanking del toro specifically
