It's been a year already!
Experience the magic of sense-overwhelming classic arcade action! Relive the Spamton NEO fight re-imagined as a classic rail shooter of the far off year [1997], available on itch io!
Oh would you look at that, it's been a year since I released my Deltarune fangame! You can find it on my itch io page, in the post pinned on my tumblr.
In case you haven't tried it, I hope you'll give it a [BiG SHOT]. It's a reimagining of the Ch2 Spamton Neo boss fight as a railshooter/lightgun game. It's inspired by the likes of House of The dead, Lost World Arcade, Ocean Hunter, Maze of Kings and so forth. I really enjoyed making it, so I hope you'll also enjoy playing it too!
The fact that it's already been a year is kinda crazy. This also means it's been about a year since CH3+4 released, doesn't it? I finished it just in the nick of time before the new chapters released, luckily everything just fell into place. Time sure does fly, huh? Speaking of, I'm currently working on a followup game, I hope you will check it out when it's done!
I'm too impatient, I hope I can get the arms done tomorrow. For now, 'tis but a scratch.
Another self indulgent Matcap paintover to celebrate making progress on the retopo. Hey, the legs move now! The head is done, the legs are done and the torso is 90% complete. So "only" the arms and (gulp) hands remain! Can't wait to get to animating!
WIP
She needs a haircut, I screwed it up. Like, straight up atrocious.
I wish I could pose them already :(
So here's an impatient matcap paintover with the knight asserting dominance.
"In my hand, I bear a star"
(I originally took a break from properly sculpting the hands by doing retopo instead, now I'm taking a break from doing retopo by finishing the hands)
Knight rotating at maximum velocity.
Black knives, shader test. I'm trying to make the whole roaring knight aesthetic to look like smoked glass.
They seem quite judgmental.
Hell is only a word... Retopology is much, much worse.
The battle is to the strong.
(still gotta do the hands, also retopologizing this is gonna kill me)
This Matcap looks actually pretty cool...
(I'm procrastinating on making the arms)
WIP
Let us sculpt feverishly into the wee hours...
Old video... Ooooooooold. (The Star Fox direct made me think of my horrible design tastes)
Because I might have formulated that too vaguely... That is to say, it's really a tragedy that for a very short moment in time technology was really exciting and promising. Like, you could almost instantly see what the final render would look like. It was magic. And then it all evolved into a means to cut out the artistic process entirely and that made it all, simply put, lame. I really wish I could still be excited for technological progress...
Oh yeah, also I just wanted to show off my Ralsei model from all angles, I only ever posted the finished render.
Old video... Ooooooooold. (The Star Fox direct made me think of my horrible design tastes)
Some more attempts to find a design... I think I'm starting to figure out how I want them to look like for my fangame.
It's the shoulders though, I can't seem to find a good solution. I've had that problem ever since SU, how does one draw characters with huge shoulder pauldrons and make them look good?
