I feel like no-ones been talking about this moment and how much it shows Tyler’s growth. Like especially if you compare it with the the earlier episodes where he was the first to blame Ash for problems:

No wonder most of the group thought he was the asshole because he literally DID act like one, which now we know is due to him being closed off and very overprotective of his family (who he only used to care for).

And I love how we’ve seen in real time (thanks to Red’s brilliant writing) how much these guys have grown on each other, like not only are they a team but they’re genuine friends and are all people who have never really had intimidate friendships because due to either being loners, horrible in social situations or just closed off. And like now they’ve come to think of each other as family.

His way of comforting people is also intentionally aggressive which is most likely an attempt to keep his whole ‘nonchalant’ façade but the words itself have such reassurance, they’re firm and grounding with no room for debate. The way he behaves is silly and childish sometimes yes, but thats because it’s the first time he’s been allowed to behave that way after being a carer for so long (I don’t think he was the only carer btw but that’s a whole other thing).
