“Well joke’s on you, you have to stay in school,” She teases and hands him her phone. “Keep an eye on twitter for updates.” She says quietly. The sounds of sirens filled the space around them and every so often she could hear guns firing but it sounded far away. It didn’t appear that the asylum patients had been armed but reports were saying the jail inmates were.
“See if you can find photos of the vigilantes who came out tonight,” She says to Jon, offering him a sad smile. “I hope you can’t. The mayor has always said, despite what’s going on, they’ll be arrested.” Which was why she blew a gasket when she heard Damian and Jon had been sneaking out together. This was not a super friendly town. Not even when it needed to be.
Jon didn’t really like being relegated to research, but did as he was told. He pulled up twitter, checking the trending hashtags. It seemed what was happening in Star City hadn’t quite hit worldwide coverage, but a simple search got him what he wanted.
The feed was mostly full of scared messages, people checking in with each other, and political stances. He scrolled through them all, making mental notes. “There don’t seem to be any pictures, but quite a few people are saying they saw some.”
“Yeah well that’s to be expected. It’ll only be a matter of time though you know? That’s why it’s so important that you,” She says opening her laptop so she could feed back footage. “Stay incognito because anyone could see you and it just takes one person to reach the world you know?” She nods.
“Thank you sweetheart.” She winces as the sound of an explosion and a fireball sort of erupting from the area of conflict. “Some of these patients have abilities,” she mumbles to Jon. “Be careful ok?”
