Sons of El

It had been far too long since Clark had spoken to Jon. The last major session of interacting the two had been engaged in had been the elder lecturing and scolding the other about breaking the ban with Damian Wayne. Clark wasnât sure if Jon had been approached by his mother yet or not, but he wanted to leave the task of that matter to Lois. Instead, he opted that he would find something else to talk about with his son.
As Clark stepped up to the front door, he gave it a gentle rasp and cleared his throat some. âItâs me, Jon.â He said, a soft smile on his face.
Jon looked up from his comic book, sitting up in bed. Things had been strained between him and his parents recently, but he was trying. He knew they were as well, but none of them knew where to start.Â
âHey dad,â he said. âIâve got all my school stuff ready, donât worry.â This week he would be starting his junior year of high school, and he was looking forward to it.
