Every time I try taking Lokis picture he gets pissy and flares at me before chickening out and hiding

A little late for Halloween but heres my weird cat Salem. Funnily enough we did not get this sweater for him specifically for Halloween but to try and keep him from suckling on his own nipples 🙃

Theres a glare so you can only kinda see Loki but hes in there, flaring at me. I haven’t posted any Loki updates in awhile in part cause his tank was a messsss like idk what happened. I suspect some seeds I got turned the water brown, but it took awhile to get things nice again. So heres Lokis tank pretty and clean with things moved around. I need to get a different tank cover or led light strip cause the one I have sucks and if my plants aren’t in the middle they die 😭. So Loki has a nice big silk plant he can hide in, in the corner while the rest of my live plants are holding on for dear life in the middle 🙃

This is Loki’s new tank setup, I made the changes a few weeks back and it seems like Loki’s a lot happier in his new environment.

10 minutes later and i got a decent photo of Loki 🙃 Lokis had ALOT of fin regrowth, we’ve rescaped the tank, gave him more resting places. I cant say whats done the trick but I’m very happy that my boys not chewing on his fins too much anymore.

Theres a female koi betta at my LFS that ive been eyeing up and I’m hoping when our second tank cycles we can get her because she is just precious ✨😊✨

I’ve been going nuts trying to figure out why he’s destroying his fins and what I can do to get him to stop.

Right now I’m mostly stuck just making sure his fins don’t get infected and trying to keep him from getting stressed.

Sometimes bettas chew fins just bc there’s too much fins 😔 it sucks but I’m confident you’re the best person to be caring for a boy as lovely as him! I know you’ll do him right! You’ve got this! He still looks as lovely as ever

Oh thank you for the kind words 😊 I’ve been wondering if his fin chewing could be because of how much his fins have grown, they’ve nearly doubled in size since we got him
