{CLOSED} Departure
Jane followed Loki into the cave, still frowning with the regards to the animal feasting on another. She wasnât a vegetarian and didnât usually have an issue with nature doing what it had to do to survive â yet seeing it in such a vicious way was not something she wanted to witness again. It actually brought a shudder through her body as she thought back to that moment, only forgetting it slightly when she realized how beautiful the cave was. The crystals were shining in various colors and brought a fairly girly side of her to the surface.
She sighed slightly and examined the rocks, wishing she could take some of it back with her but somehow debating it. âThe larger dinosaurs we have already witnessed should be the most dangerous around nowâŚunless you count the raptorsâŚâ she glanced over to him and bit her lip, not enjoying the thought of those creatures finding them, not since she had read a little about them and witnessed them in various movies. âThey are the more intelligent creatures around this time, known to have hunted in packs and used tricks to trap their prey. They are fast, they donât have a problem with their sight and if we run into them, it will take a lot to get away from themâ.
She wondered if they would even be capable of getting away from those creatures â the biggest part of her assuming no. âAnyway, Iâd like to take some samples back with me â donât worry, Iâm not a crazy scientist who wants to take a dinosaur egg backâŚjust some of these rocks, they are pretty amazingâ. She glanced over to him and shrugged âthough Iâm pretty sure you canât find any real beauty in anything here â not when you come from somewhere like Asgard. I still canât get over how pretty everything is up there; there was a huge part of me which would have been happy to stay thereâŚif it had been possibleâ. Jane took some samples, trying to push the thoughts of Asgard to one side â knowing they would lead her back to Thor.Â
Loki watched as Jane collected rock samples. He found her notion to be rather ridiculous that he could not appreciate beauty, even in lesser forms. It was true that Asgard trumped anything on Midgard, but he still enjoyed seeing the aesthetically pleasing display. He chose not to argue the fact, instead focusing in on her mention of another possible danger.
"Raptors? Tell me about these creatures. If they are smaller, surely we can handle them."Â
He walked out of the cave, glancing over the landscape before him, considering how long they would have to spend here to appease her sense of curiosity. He would admit a certain mixture of feelings when it came to Jane. He appreciated her bold spirit, but her tendency to get distracted drove him mad.
"What else do you wish to see before we leave? Perhaps we could do so without running into these raptors of which you speak. Although I am at the ready."
Loki rubbed the back of his neck, trying to relieve some of the tension. He held his dagger in the opposite hand. He hoped that Jane would tire of this place soon, even if it was a sight to behold. He didn't notice at first, due to being deep in thought, but Loki realized it was quiet--too quiet perhaps. Something did not seem right.
