Harry didn't wear his lifting shoes this time. He was wearing the same shoes as William. Barkjack on twitter said that Meghan didn't want to follow the protocol for the walkabout but Harry put his foot down. Harry looked more comfortable (but not uncomfortable) and made sure to wait that William shook the hand of this guy before he did. That may be the reason why M looked scared. She is scared she's losing control on H in favor of William. I don't think the RF should trust Harry (I don't even like him) but these are signs something is happening on H side. Maybe he just want the titles, maybe he wants to make peace but there's something.
I think Harry was just happy to be able to do some actual royal work with royals again. He has been doing fake royal tours that this probably felt really good
I pray that this week opens his eyes. He's behaved horrifically and he's not terribly bright, but I hope he can now see the difference between what he was born into, and the mess his choices have made of his life.
She talked about having a food baby during her Suits days - when she would travel she would show up to the set and explain to the wardrobe people - be prepared for 'Angela' (I don't recall the name but she named her food baby belly) I believe it is referenced in TB's book. She's not pregnant.
How very lovely the service at st Giles. I’ve never seen the inside of this church. You can see the history in the walls. And so much light coming the stained glass windows. The beautiful Gaelic song and the hymns, I love everything about t.
This is just my speculation only. I think it was no accident that HTMQ passed away in Scotland. I saw a reader said her majesty will choose the time of her passing. And apparently she was in a lot of pain. I know it’s controversial but towards the end she may have made arrangements for a lethal dose of something. The reader said she kept hearing you wouldn’t let an animal suffer. Charles and Ann would have been the only people who knew and were present. She died in her sleep in the middle of the afternoon.
However it happened she is beyond pain now. Rest In Peace Elizabeth I.
I must say that I anticipated her death after the summer and before the end of November. I also thought when the furniture removal van arrived at Balmoral at the beginning of the summer that it wasn't just bringing hospital equipment, but maybe also the lead-lined coffin. It seems morbid now, but honestly, I had a moment of flash in my mind's eye. I did think though at the time that she would travel back from Scotland via the Royal Train, I could see that in my mind.
But to share my thoughts, my first reaction on the 8th was, oh my this is too soon a full month too early. Do i think that she took a fatal dose, no definitely not...
That said, in palliative care they often give massive doses of morphine for the pain, because it is only way to prevent the terrible suffering. As a result, it depresses the body functioning and breathing. So it could be that HM just felt that she had had enough and in her mind she gave up the will to continue. Or it could have been something else entirely, perhaps a sudden stroke or heart failure? When someone is frail, such a health event can really set one back and the body is too frail to rally through it.
I am sure we will never no. Save for the fact that according to reports she passed on in her sleep. So no last words then.
Loool only working royal will wear military uniforms. Only exception for Andrew for the vigil at Westminster hall. It has been confurmed Harry isn't allowed to wear a uniform to any event. To me this mean Harry and TW won't have a prominent role but will be treated like the Jubilee. Like the rest of the family
I agree with this approach. Allowing Andrew only to wear uniform for the Vigil of the Princes is a fair compromise. H must put his big boy pants on, this is what happens when you give up the job and become a private citizen. His other cousins and second cousins that are private citizens are never front and centre, most of us could not pick Frederick, Amelia, Marina, Gabriella, etc out in a crowd. They will obviously be at the funeral but not prominent. The only reason Zara and Mike are so recognisable is because they are famous sports stars, but they also do not have any roles or ceremonial duties. So H will have no role other than as a mourning family member.
For everyone who was outraged that Meghan Markle and Harry were allowed to go on a walkabout and collect tributes to Her Majesty after making her last years incredibly stressful and painful, I was too. Then I sat and thought about it and read some stuff on tumblr, and this is the result (below the cut)
Prince William would never disrespect his grandmother in that way, so there had to be a reason for it.
Gossip and rumour say that the Harkles were going to do their own walkabout, with TV cameras in tow (either a US TV station, Netflix, or both, depending on the rumour). That would have been worse. This was the way the palace chose to shut that walkabout down, and fast.
The Invitation was apparently issued at the last minute, and there were 45 minutes of too-inf and fro-ing before an agreement was reached and the Harkles attended. This supports the idea that something was up that had to be shut down, otherwise this would have been arranged in advance.
Meghan was all dressed up, hair and makeup done, wearing tights(!), etc. Ladies, we know it takes longer than 45 minutes to get ourselves into that state. Again, this supports the idea that the two of them were planning something in advance and had to be shut down.
Prince William's statement to the press was masterly. By having his spokesperson say that it was 'a show of unity' at 'a difficult time' he made it impossible for the Harkles to refuse without appearing petty and difficult. If they do another, separate walkabout after this, with just them, they look like they are not interested in supporting the family during their time of grief. Their walkabout has been shut down for good.
Prince William issued the invitation. He is in charge. The Harkles come when he says to come, walk for the length of time he says, and leave when he says to leave. They are not in control of the situation. You can imagine how much that hurts their ego.
Further to the above, notice at the end when Meghan turns to leave, Princess Catherine gives her a glare, and Meghan hurriedly starts waving again. Meghan knew she had to do what the Prince and Princess of Wales said. Also note that Meghan was not smug as she usually is, instead she looked cowed and troubled, and she spent most of the walkabout trying to get into Prince William's good books (walking up to him, looking at him adoringly etc). She had been caught out in wrongdoing and she knew it.
It was clear that the Prince and Princess of Wales wanted nothing to do with the Harkles, and were only doing this as a gesture of politeness. Princess Catherine was nowhere near them, and Prince William kept moving away from Meghan, even crossing to the other side of wellwishers to avoid her. The Harkles are still persona non grata with the Prince and Princess of Wales.
The Invitation showed that the Harkles are not considered part of the Royal Family. They are not important enough or trusted enough to be included in a walkabout. If Prince William had not graciously invited them, there would be no scheduled walkabout for the Harkles to attend. The Harkles are full of their own importance, so you can imagine how that upset them.
They arrived without pomp, in a car driven by Prince William. None of the miles of motorcades and being surrounded by security that the Harkles adore. They were deposited at the walkabout in the most unostentatious way possible. Also, with William driving, he was in control. They had to stay until he was ready to leave.
Meghan hates walkabouts. She loathes having to get out and mingle with the common people. Instead of turning up, filming for Netflix/US TV, and then leaving, she had to stand and greet people for over 50 minutes with no benefit to her. She hated every minute of it - you can see it in her body language. Yet she had to do it and pretend to like it.
The Harkles were not wanted by the crowds, and that was made obvious. The crowds were screaming for William and Catherine. The side of well wishers taken by the Harkles were visibly disappointed. Some people refused to speak to them or to hand over their flowers. Others told the Harkles exactly what they thought of them. One young man made gagging noises as they walked by. Sure, some people were polite and shook hands, but overall they were not want the crowd wanted, and the Harkles knew it. They knew that Prince William and Princess Catherine were the attractions, and they were unwanted. For a couple with such huge egos and such an inflated sense of their self importance, to have the people they are trying to rival preferred over them must have stung like crazy.
[Edit to add] Meghan, who is a coward, had to face the people she has maligned for the past two years. I can't see her being happy about that.
I believe the BBC coverage barely showed the Harkles. Again, a huge blow to their egos, especially Meghan, who has never met a camera she didn't love.
We now have video of Meghan being horrible to a staffer. Documented proof. Those bullying allegations just gained a lot of substance.
[Edit to add] So much for the security fears of the Harkles. If they can do this walkabout with no issues, then their fears must be smaller than what they are stating.
This was Prince William's show from start to finish. He was the one in charge and he and his wife were the ones the crowd wanted. He has shown that he is the one with the power. The Harkles had no power, no control, and had to smile and perform for nothing, something that they hate. I'm sure they would try sneaky things to restore the balance of power to their favour, and I am sure they will pick the best shots and video and have their PR spin it as much as they can, but that does not change the truth of any of the above. They were not in control, and for a control freak like Meghan, that would have been torture.
Yes, having the Harkles there was horrible. They absolutely did not deserve this. However, given the alternative and the time frame, I think this was an excellent way of shutting down this piece of the Netflix/US TV performance for good (there will be others, Meghan is going to try to make this funeral all about her for months, but this one has been shut down for good).
Can you imagine having to deal with the Meghan and Harry show on top of grieving for a beloved mother/grandmother and wanting the focus to be on her, where it belongs (and also on the new King for his day of proclamation). I am sending the family all the love, prayers and supportive energy I can to get them through this time.

King Charles II, Queen Camilla and other members of the royal family attend a Service of Prayer and Reflection for the Life of Queen Elizabeth II at St Giles’ Cathedral, Edinburgh, 12.09.2022
Media calling her out! #TRASHY #MEAN "[Meghan Markle]...looking totally TRASHY, as MEAN as she seemed to be to an aide during the inspection of the flowers, seeming to SNAP at him until she realized she was being filmed..." "well, I don't think she has a problem appearing ‘TRASHY,’ that has been her professional performance over the last 2 years since megxit..."--Tom Bower
"well, she has no problem appearing ‘trashy’ that has been her professional performance over the last 2 years since megxit, she hasn't seemed at all ashamed to tell, frankly, lies about the royal family...and only 2 weeks ago...she tried to practically threaten that she was about to deliver more truths and wasn't prepared to forgive. So I don't think we can count on Meghan Markle to have any qualms. What has been remarkable is the coincidence that she was in London, in Britain when the Queen died, that was not planned and that has forced them to adopt a different position. Now we'll see what will happen. My view is that the reconciliation is temporary, they'll eventually go back to California, re-group and in the end their finances depend on trashing the royal family bc otherwise they don't have anything to sell. ---Tom Bower
"That is so true they have nothing else, they're not that smart."
Please note that this is Sky Australia speaking here NOT UK. Here at the moment the media are pushing the “reconciled brothers” “the olive branch” and how wonderful she was to hug the young girl. There is a big pro Harkles media push here at the moment. This is important to note.
I can't believe I am defending Andrew, I'm disappointed in myself but this is my opinion anyway. Andrew is a scumbag. But whatever he did, he fought in the war FOR REAL, he was not there being protected by bodyguards 24/7 and only doing a stunt because he needed to clean up his image. Andrew even having done things that were shameful to his mother and family, still was there for her, keeping her company, making visits. I am a skeptical person and I know part of that was him trying to lobbying for his own gains, but still he was there for her. He never tried to make money off of bashing her, or his family, not even his brother who does everything to screw him (rightfully). HM would have wanted him to be allowed to wear his uniform, and if Charles who has spent years trying to cast Andrew away is fine with it, I'm not gonna sweat over it. It is a son mourning and honoring his mother at the end of the day. Even the worse criminal in this planet will love and miss their mom (granted it's not a psychopath or something), so let Andrew have this.
I fully agree.
He might be a total ass but he loved his mother and she loved him.
Bryony Gordon reporting that Archetypes has been put on hold for SIX WEEKS... yep, definitely going in & editing the shit out of the remaining episodes.
What are the odds, H threw "commander-in-chief" knowing that he is the only one without uniform? (I can give A a pass, active duty, his mother) His family "memories" to William's can not be more different yet he (or TW) manage to end it stealing Louis' words. And honour his father, sure Jan. I usually say it is TW's work but immature style and wrong interpretations of "partings and first meetings"... I dunno. Very all over the place. "Thank you for your service" was sadly better.
I didn’t get this part:
“And as it comes to first meetings, we now honour my father in his new role as King Charles III.”
This idiot was on the news and couldn’t even give correct information about things in his own country. He gives me a headache. He’s another that needs to take a long walk off a short high bridge.
I had to spend several days with some awful relatives at a destination wedding. The whole week was a barrage of passive-aggressive comments and invented grievances. I remember feeling so stressed but having to smile and bear it.
When I watched W&K with Those Two today, I felt the exact same stress I felt that week of the family wedding.
I hope this little outing was for strategic reasons and/or for the optics. True reconciliation is not possible if only one party is sincere and the other party is always looking to further their own victim narrative.
Oprah & Tyler Perry: the Queen of England's funeral is none of your business.
Oprah & Tyler Perry continue to reveal themselves as Harry & Meghan's financial & "celebrity" backers. I noticed Atlanta's 11 Alive LOCAL News featured MMs ridiculous speech & I wondered if Tyler (Atlanta based) is setting up work for the duo in GA. Now we hear a CNN (Atlanta based) reporter refer to the Prince & Princess of Wales as 'the other royals' who arrived with M & H (video below). CNN is financed by globalists (I'm looking at you Hillary) and IMO is a propaganda network. I actually do believe the blinds that suggest Oprah was in communication w/M about the funeral. Why does this funeral concern Oprah, a billionaire who recently took to twitter to bad mouth the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebration?
(Duke of Cornwall and Cambridge until 9 September 2022)
Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex
Prince Andrew, Duke of York
Princess Beatrice
Of these five, only Queen Camilla, Prince William and occasionally Princess Beatrice perform royal duties. If Prince Harry ceases to be a British subject or is no longer domiciled in the United Kingdom, he shall become ineligible to be a counsellor of state and would be replaced by Princess Eugenie.[5] In February 2022 however, Prince Harry renewed his lease on Frogmore Cottage in the UK, meaning he continues to be domiciled there.[11] Prince Andrew remains eligible to serve after withdrawing from most royal activities.[12]
