So. Imagine that you read a story, and in that story, there is a child who is sexually abused. And whether or not you are okay with this is dependent on whether or not the writer, too, was sexually abused. Because they’re allowed to write things like that if and only if they are a survivor.

You have just created a circumstance in which finding out that an actual living human child was raped will make you happier.

You are fucked up. It is you. That is the problem. It is not someone writing fiction that is at fault here.

This is why “X is bad, but okay if you are doing it to cope” is not even a tiny bit okay. It is wrong. It is in and of itself fundamentally fucked up. It is an abusive narrative, and promoting it is in and of itself, directly, abusive. It’s not possibly going to lead to abuse; it is already abuse.

I know I’m not very active on here but I DESPERATELY need your help.

I am a bisexual woman, and my parents recently gave me an ultimatum. They said If I wanted to quote “Be gay” I could do on my own, and not under their roof.

2 nights ago they decided to start charging me RENT if I wanted to start seeing this girl I met. You heard me.

$100 US dollars per MONTH to have the permission to date women. Not only is this ridiculous but it’s EXTREMELY manipulative because my only other option is to strike out on my own!

So all that said, I have started a GoFundMe to raise money to help me live off of so I can get the hell out of my parent’s house. Or in case they throw me out.
