Falling in Love Again

Yang bounced her knee up and down as she slouched over and held her hands together in the waiting room. They'd just defeated Salem a few weeks ago and things haven't been the same.

Jaune died in battle overusing his semblance to boost everyone else's abilities and took a bad hit. Ironwood was also dead, though she couldn't really find it in her heart to be sad about that, nor care how he died. Penny and Oscar had gone missing, but she was too worried about Ruby and Weiss to go look for them. Nora and Ren… They needed time to themselves and just… left. Their family and friends were leaving again...

Just before her mind went into another downward spiral, she looked up when she felt someone place a gentle hand onto her shoulder. She gave a weak smile at seeing Blake offering her some coffee.

Reaching for You

Ruby groaned in pain as she opened her eyes, blinking the blurriness away. She slowly raised her hand and felt grains of sand falling. Wait. Sand? She quickly sat up and saw that she was on some kind of beach. Were they in Vacuo already? Did they even have beaches like this?

She frantically looked around for any sight of someone, and sighed in relief at seeing Blake next to her, her hand still holding onto Ruby's arm even though she was unconscious.

That's nice of Blake, trying to protect her, but it was something that she shouldn't do. She thought of Yang, taking the hit from Neo for her and falling first into the void. Then Weiss knocked Neo away, just because Ruby was off balance and distraught over her sister falling off the edge, only to be blown away by Cinder. She saw that Cinder was aiming at her, but Weiss shoved the Staff of Creation into her hands and shoved her away to safety. Then Blake… They were falling, and the Faunus tried to use her Gamble Shroud to help them get back up, then Cinder… Right! Cinder! Were they safe?! What if they were attacked by her again!?

Weiss smiled to herself as she finished her ten page essay for Ooblek's class and stretched. She sighed happily and rolled her shoulders, wincing at the slight cracks that came with it.

"I suppose now is a good time to take a break and stretch my legs." She sighed to herself and packed up her notebooks and books into her bag. As she got up, she gasped as she bumped into Cardin. They both immediately fell into a glaring contest.

"Watch where you're going, Schnee." Cardin growled. "Just because you bought your way in here doesn't mean you own the place."

Weiss' eye twitched but she didn't say anything to him. It was a common insult that he threw at her anyways and she didn't have time for this. With a roll of her eyes, she merely ignored him and was about to walk away until he interrupted her.

"Hey, I'm talking to you! Listen to me, you bitch!" Cardin growled as he grabbed her shoulder and forced her to look at him.
