Random RWBY headcanons cause why not
Weiss gets cold feet. Like literal cold feet she might just be cold blooded her feet become ice packs in seconds and she is constantly wearing socks and RBY start giving her gag gift socks and they keep trying to one up each other for the most outrageous design, Weiss wears them all.
Blake is an 80s music junkie (in my head remnant 80s is the same as ours so yeah) her happy place is at a roller rink complete with the disco lights and using some influence RWY manage to find one and the four of them trip on their butts all day.
Yang has this habit where whenever she can't fall asleep she kinda rubs her feet together and she claims it's a 100% method to fall asleep real fast and sheep are dumb but the thing is she also does it in her sleep and it sounds a lot like a person walking so they bury yang in pillows head to toe everyday.
Ruby is terrified of pigeons. She will not walk within 10 ft of them and the Beacon courtyard is filled with them so half the time Weiss, Blake and Yang form a protective anti pigeon triangle around her and Ruby is forever grateful(she's fine with other birds but pigeons be her mortal enemy
Weiss and Blake have the worst sleep schedules, they are non existent because Weiss loses track of time easy and Blake is just a little shit who refuses to let celestial entities influence anything she does, so these two often end up awake together and end up in heated discussions about book to movie adaptations no one cares about. Ruby and Yang treat them like white noise.
Ruby is freakishly good at guessing passwords. Scrolls, email, bank accounts whatever. Once, Weiss set her scroll password by randomly choosing a location name from remnant Google maps and Ruby still figured it out (she never abuses her god like abilities but she's smug about it pretty often)
Yang writes poetry. Like really good heartfelt life altering wow level poetry. Except she doesn't have a notebook, she just randomly scribbles onto any surface she can find (the team were very concerned when they found Weiss close to tears clutching an empty packet of cheese puffs). Yang doesn't think much of her work but Ruby, Weiss and Blake collect every piece they can find and keep it tucked in very safe inside Yang's drawer
The team are very protective of each other they will not hesitate to commit war crimes for each other and this becomes very apparent when Weiss ,Blake and Yang earn a month of detention for ' aggressive behaviour against a fellow student', ' screaming profanity inside school premises that included threats of ending bloodlines', 'destruction of property' etc etc cause some twerp called Ruby incompetent.
Weiss Schnee has never cooked a day in her life and the coffee she makes is inedible, borderline a new substance that needs to be studied but the team can't say no to her and have as a result built resistance to poison. Also RBY can't drink normal coffee anymore cause it's just never the right flavour and Weiss remains blissfully oblivious (the real reason for Nora's coma in V8 was cause she had a sip of Weiss' coffee)
Yang can do that weird thing where you fold your eyelids or whatever and although she never tried to scare anyone with it Ruby and Weiss are frequent victims. Blake cackles.
Yang and Ruby have many sibling quirks that Blake 'only child' Belladonna and Weiss 'dysfunctional family' Schnee can never understand but learn to roll with. The random t-posing and constant name calling and jabs, the petty competitions, the extremely loud harmonious and dramatic renditions of Naruto opening Fighting Dreamers at random intervals all become part of the everyday. And soon enough they're part of it too.
Blake is the official educator of the team when it comes to things like picking locks and emergency first aid without a first aid kit, morse code, cooking with nothing, walking without making a sound, cracking safes etc. RWBY could rob a bank easy.
Ruby is a lover of randomly breaking out into impromptu singing/dancimg in their dorm which is a testament to how comfortable she is with them cause her social anxiety is usually through the roof. They've got a cassette player that's always playing something and more often that not Ruby will drag(Weiss offers resistance for maybe 10 secs max she takes her partner duties very seriously) them all.
Blake is very very expressive while reading and she's always unconsciously clutching her heart or gasping or screaming 'NO' or 'FUCKING FINALLY or 'GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER YOU @#£*+-@' and she's on a library watchlist for disruption.
Weiss hates the dark cause it reminds her too much of Atlas and the terrible lighting in the Schnee hallways (seriously wtf were those blue lights) but she never admits it cause lights might annoy the rest of them but RBY notice and immediately pool in their allowance to get fairy lights and night lamps and Weiss does not cry a little
They generally try to keep up with school work but finals week is nuts so they usually study a unit each and then sit on the carpet at sleep-deprivation-o-clock and scream what they've learnt to each other. (Weiss eventually caves cause this method is effective even if it makes her question her life choices)
They've all got favourite down time activities. Ruby loves feeding the chickens and watering plants, Weiss loves grocery shopping cause it's so mundane and unAtlas like and she loves the thrill of bargain sales, Yang loves watching stand up comedians and parody plays, slam poetry and improv workshops, Blake's a bit of a foodie and loves trying out stuff and everyone tags along with each other cause found family is stored in the everyday
