LOCKWOOD, TYLER.
Becoming a father had changed everything for him. Life was more serious now. Tyler wasn’t quite as playful in his interactions, was slower to anger, was organized and on schedule and always exhausted but God, his son was worth it. He was the most perfect thing Tyler had ever seen and he was completely captivated by him. Sure, there were still parts of his life that needed addressing but for the most part, life was good. Just not with Jeremy. Or Cait. Or Caroline. Alright, fine, so life was still mostly shit but his baby rocked and that’s what mattered. He didn’t stand for anyone threatening that peace and perhaps that was why he was a tad gruff in his current encounter. “You gonna get to a point? ‘Cause my kid is gonna be up any second and I’m supposed to sleep when he does.” @sanguishqsstarters

Life had been thrown into the shitter, in the most eloquently phrased way possible. Atlas was gone. Tyler and Cait were still on the outs. Nova, well, that was just a complicated dynamic all in itself, especially these days. Not to mention she’d found out she’d be dead in the next few years, by the sounds of things. It was safe to say that life was just not giving her the smoothest of rides, and it was definitely beginning to take its toll. But, the matter that hurt the most? That, Ty had a baby, and she’d not even so much as met the kid. A dramatic life change, and neither of them were willing to pause their silent treatment. Unless, except for maybe now? Not exactly planned, of course, but the pair had collided for the first time in months. She’d done her best to keep out of dodge, for the most part. “And ruin your cheery exterior?” A shrug followed, before she pressed on. “Unlikely.” Cait wasn’t one to roll over, metaphorically given her wolf status, that is. “Sounds like you could maybe do with that nap.” Eyes finally meeting his, something she’d long dismissed from her thoughts and memories. Her best friend. "How are you doing?” A defeated sigh escaping her lips, just wanting to at least know he and his son were on the right track. Then she could go about their silent treatment once more, if that was the outcome of this little tête-à-tête.
