First piece of news I heard outta the Inglewood show, and I knew what I had to do
I know it's a little early, but it's good to let people prepare!

Video caption: Good guy who talks like a bad guy
“Perhaps you’d like to see my pets. They were ALL … rescues.”
“And as always, gentlemen, our profits will be … donated.”
“Oh, I wish I could stay and chat, but I’m afraid I have to take my friend to the airport.”
will never forget that when the options were "geriatric pedo nazi rapist" and "competent lady" yall didn't vote for either because Competent Lady didn't talk about your thing enough
Talk about a straw man. Even if every third-party vote had gone to Harris, she still would have lost. It’s completely disingenuous to place her loss on 3rd party voters whose votes could have done nothing for a bad candidate with a bad campaign. Because she was just a bad candidate. But yes, her stance on Palestine hurt her, as did her complete unwillingness to offer universal healthcare, provide a single viable solution for stopping inflation, and her stubborn championing of cop cities and further militarization with money that would have been better spent actually helping Americans.
Your anger is misplaced. Whether you like it or not, if the Dems were competent, they would recognize that their stubborn insistence on refusing a single “left” platform—fuck, they even removed death penalty abolition—to try to woo “moderates”* has only hurt them time and time again.
*here, “moderate” means “barely left of far-right”
once i beat the depression and the burnout and the anxiety and the loneliness and the exhaustion and the guilt and the awkwardness and the apathy and the low income and the chronic illness and the impatience and the vulnerability and the creative block and the capitalism and the cruelty THEN you'll see
PRIDE AND PREJUDICE (2005) + Joe Wright’s DVD Commentary
this year while we all celebrate pride month and celebrate ourselves as well as those who came before us and paved the way for us to do so, we must also think of those in gaza, queer or not, who live every day under a brutal occupation and don’t have that same privilege. happy pride, and may we see a free palestine in this lifetime.
an intense hatred of capitalism vs an intense love of trinkets
The core appeal of Willy Wonka is that he's a nigh-omnipotent maniac who uses his near limitless powers over reality to trick shitty people into killing themselves. You can't make him the protagonist of a whimsical coming of age tale - you have to treat him like Jason Voorhees, or Dracula, or any other horror icon. Give him some new victims and new interesting kills and set him loose, that's all audiences want.
I feel like I watched a somewhat different movie...
#so one is romantic and the other isn't because...? 🧐🧐🧐
