So, it was the beginning of the fall semester 2015 in central Florida. I always arrived on campus about 30 some odd minutes early to get a little reading done. As I was reading, I overheard a couple of guys talking about Dark Souls. Usually I donāt insert myself into other peopleās conversations, but I felt that this would be a good chance to make friends.
So we introduce ourselves and quickly found out that we were in the same class. Because we would be seeing each other every Monday and Wednesday, I was able to talk to them on a regular basis.
So fast forward a month or two to October. I walk up the stairs in the building where my class is, and I see them staring intently at the laptop that Mike would bring.
Me:āWhatāre yāall lookin at?ā
Michael: āitās a game called Undertale, itās made by someone who worked on Homestuck.ā
Me:āworked on what now?ā
Michael:*proceeds to tell me about Homestuck*
Michael: āItās about a group of kids who play a game. And it gets really, really, REALLY out of hand.ā
Michael and Isaiah:*pulls up the first few pages of Homestuck on the laptop*
Me:ā cool, I can read this at home.ā
I was twenty years old when I first started reading Homestuck. I remember that the last page (at the time I started reading) was [s] Remember. I was able to get caught up before the release of act 7. And today, on 4/13, I shall text them and thank them both again for introducing me.
