I was here before the great buddie canon episode release 9x13.
It’s so bad. I have genuinely convinced myself buddie will go canon 9x13 in my mind they will kiss that episode and there no other way the episode can go. There gonna kiss in the motel. There could be no kiss! But somehow some way Buddie will be canon. They could put a white block text on a black screen for 45 mins saying BUDDIE canon and I’ll take it. No matter what way it will happen, it will happen.
I see your "oh, there's only one bed/room" theories and I raise you: they check into two separate rooms and we get a parallel montage of them where Buck throws his duffle bag to the floor, Eddie throws his on a chair. Buck stares at his reflection in the bathroom mirror, Eddie splashes water on his face. And they both throw themselves on their beds at the same time, staring at the ceiling, separated only by a thin wall covered with ugly wallpaper. They toss and turn in bed through the night, neither of them able to fall asleep. Until finally Eddie gets his shit together and walks out to Buck's room and he's about to knock on the door, only Buck opens the door before he gets a chance to. And for a second they stand there staring at each other, until Buck grabs Eddie by the collar and drags him into his room, closing the door behind them. End of episode.
