This was an experiment. See how people started getting mad at me for “buying” a Bring Me The Horizon shirt, when I said I really knew nothing about them? How I said I bought it simply because I thought it was cute? Completely disregarding who the band was?

This is how people from other cultures feel when you purchase and wear garb from their culture with no knowledge of what that garb symbolizes and means. If you wear or use something for the wrong reasons, people get mad.

Yeah I looked it up on tumblr to see if people still believe in that shit, most lesbians are against it but I saw some posts that were like, “people only hate gold star lesbians because they hate lesbians who know who they are,” and it’s like, no???? It’s just a super fucking awful concept???? It’s transphobic. It tells lesbians who were raped that they’re less than on top of everything else. It completely erases lesbians who dealt with the pressure of heterosexuality, especially lesbians who grew up in violently homophobic households that felt they had to be with men otherwise they were put in danger.
