Actually it will be ignored. You think anyone in that room cared about what he had to say? Ricky is worth over $100 million. Maybe he should put HIS money where his mouth is, instead of acting like shitting on them is going to change anything.

I don’t think Ricky Gervais has been employed by Apple, Disney or Amazon. He’s very keen on animal rights activism which is probably why talks of the Australian fires by people who fly private jets to adjacent states may have stirred the pot. I also personally did not gather that he’s insulting them for being rich, rather pointing out celebrities that use political or global issues to seem more “liberal” but change virtually nothing about their habits, careers or employers when they are the most well off to do so. He’s probably not perfect, but what he said was 100% correct and he should have said it.
