Support incentives would be stuff like voting for which fic(s) you want me to progress on (something like a weekly quota of at least 500 words added to the top 3-5 fics voted for), weekly word count or other progress reports on my writing, brainstorming notes, writing livestreams, and annotated drafts/video recordings of me explaining various processes and decision making for each fic/plot/chapter on a granular level (basically writing lessons of a sort using my fics as case study, but also behind-the-scenes type stuff).

Leaving aside the stupidity of "Globalize the Intifada isn't a call to kill Jews/it's an innocuous word and I'm a good person and it's exotique" discourse, they stuck a red triangle on the banner. That's what Hamas uses to mark its targets, at this point it's a more socially acceptable version of the swastika because when you see it in the wild or on social media the person wearing is just a Nazi/Hamasnik. By sticking it on the banner proclaiming intifada it doesn't just pollute LGBT activism with the various intifada suicide bombings and bus bombings and stabbings, it explicitly ties the LGBT civil rights struggle, which was ongoing for decades in the form we recognize it today, to a single distinct terror group with a hate symbol. But hey, it's trendy, right? You're being a good ally, right? This never ends well.

some people’s politics have no conceptual interest in accumulating power outside of their own social ingroup. they want to be right, but not to win, because being morally righteous does win the day within the tight social circles in which they operate, and it gives them status and a sense of control within their insular setting. in fact, focusing on the moral righteousness of every action helps keep their activist communities so small and insular (and therefore easier for them to control). to try and actually win on a larger scale would be to open themselves up to scrutiny, and a diversity of experiences and cultures, and lots and lots of people with very practical concerns who would not fall for their manipulations.

a lot of the very beloved powerful people within activist spaces work like this, and do not realize that they do. but as social beings we are strongly motivated by status and attention, and we tend to do what will help us hold onto those things if we have got em. these are the same dynamics that sometimes develop into out-and-out cults, but more often than not, they just lead to a shitty internal culture, lots of burnout and turnover and bad vibes.

this video is horrible to watch, but there are two specific people in it I want to draw attention to.

not the guy lauding Sinwar, not the bloody rat poster, those are expected by now.

the first is the person who says, “100% I am full heartedly antizionism and anti-Judaism.” so there’s that pretense not even being attempted anymore, just saying it out loud, mask off, full chest.

the other is the very angry woman, who says “we don’t care about you” (“you” explicitly meaning Jews), and then she says, “it’s all connected. I don’t have money. I’m struggling. I have nothing.”

it is abundantly clear that she blames this on the Jews™️. what’s remarkable about that being said aloud in the United States in 2026 is it is verbatim the rhetoric that occurred before (and during) the rise of the Nazi party in Germany, and that’s merely one example out of many that have repeated for centuries. she’s furious, she’s suffering, she’s feeling disempowered, and she needs someone to blame. she’s found the cause that allows her to do that. “it’s all connected,” she says, mind overrun with conspiracies. it is indeed connected, only not in the way she thinks it is.
