Oh my gosh girl this is the cutest!!!
I want so badly to be apart of the Tumblr Swifties, but I have absolutely no idea how to get in...
None of my friends appreciate Taylor the way I do, so my poor husband gets hit with all my fan girling. Maybe I’m to old? I don’t know- I’ve been a fan since her original album was released in 2006 (I was 13), but I never did tumblr until a year or two ago.
I’m almost 27 now and I guess I’m just to old to connect? I don’t know.. but it’s like I’m standing on the outside looking in... so if anyone has any tips on the best way to get into the group, please let me know...
The moment I went, “Taylor? Is that you? No was in heck that’s just a man acting like Taylor that can’t be Taylor...”
Guys we should have known it- her signature wink!!
okay but can we talk about how Taylor presented masculinity?
While yes, the titular “Man” was an obnoxious snob, Taylor didn’t showcase an army of men taking over the world with only women adoring him. In several scenes the other men were cheering “The Man” on during various scenes.
* In the office men & women both were cheering on his behavior.
* On the subway there were other men uncomfortable with “The Man”’s actions.
* There was even another man in the park watching “world’s greatest dad”.
* It was a male referee that “The Man” pitched a fit for and assaulted with a tennis ball.
I think the point here is that Taylor is making is on toxic masculinity. There can be so much man-shaming just because they’re men, but ultimately that isn’t the point: it is possible to have good, kind, strong, men in this world. The only jerk in the video is our toxic masculinity representing “Man”.
Then I LOVE the interaction of “The Man” and Director Taylor with her telling him that he needs to be more sexy, more engaging etc. Sometime’s it takes swapping gender roles to see exactly how different men and women are treated.
So bravo Taylor! For creating a video calling out toxic masculinity while also showing that not all men have to be that way or even are that way! It would have been very easy to create a video showing all men to be on that same level of pig-headedness, but you didn’t and for that all of the men watching this on the fence have a reason to learn how to be better!
(Also, over the credit’s when it’s revealed that Taylor is playing “The Man”? *chef’s kiss* I had a feeling when “The Man” winked at the camera but I kept thinking “no way! There’s no defining features of Taylor’s face under the makeup!”)
Also the ship caption was completely OVER it 🤣

Oh gosh... watching Taylor react to the 2018 Grammy noms made me SOB.
Dear @taylorswift , Reputation was an AMAZING album I listen to constantly. It’s my running when I do cardio, it’s my house cleaning music, it’s one of my favorites EVER!
It was the end of a decade, but the start of an age! #newyear #happynewyear...
Met @taylorswift today!! 😍😘
Does anyone else feel just super close to Taylor after watching the music video? She’s already so down to earth, but it just made me remember she was a really, awkward little chub of a bitty baby who wobbled around the house. I felt like we have more in common now!
Like, I had those exact same Esmerelda pajamas! 😆 thank you Taylor!! Thank you for sharing your life with us!!
HOLD THE PHONE
Why is no one talking about the documentary being titled Miss Americana???!!!?!?!
Dear Taylor
I’m the midst of all the pain going on right now, I just want to THANK YOU for Beautiful Ghosts. I will be listening to it on repeat all day. No matter what is happening, we will always back you and your talent! Beautiful Ghosts is hauntingly fantastic and I cannot wait to continue watching you fly!
CAN THIS ACTUALLY HAPPEN??
E! News can stay
She didn’t sign it “love Taylor” 💔
I just can’t believe that ANY artist doesn’t legally have the right to their own work. How sick that a group of untalented men can OWN someone else’s work and literally control their life. They didn’t write the songs, they didn’t sing the songs, they simply produce and distribute the stuff. These untalented masses are controlling other people’s masterpieces for their own profit and gain.
We all know one of the reasons it’s so hard to break into any art industry isn’t because of talent, but because of the puppeteers pulling the strings behind the scenes for their own monetary gain.
It sickens me.
