Fires of Winter

Story in a nutshell: Lady doesn’t want to be a slave. Becomes a slave. Fights to not be a slave. Gets raped. Constantly raped. Develops stockholm syndrome. Gets pregnant. Wants to leave rapist/kidnapper/owner. Ends up being stuck due to weather conditions. Ends up staying because it would be mean to take baby away. 

Frustrated Scream Rating: 14/10

I consider this advanced romance reading because, well, all of that ^.

I love this book, as it was one of my earliest adult romance reads, but… yeah.

I agree, definitely a more advanced read in the romance genre. It was a very accurate historical romance novel when you consider the time period it takes place in. It was just hard to view it as a romance novel because of the love/obsession being very one sided for the majority of the book. 

I did like the book but if anything I’m not sure at this point if I would consider it to be in the romance genre because of the plot and themes within it.

An English Bride in Scotland

This book was simply about boobs. There is a constant reminder of them in every chapter. If you like boobs and a constant repeated description of them, this book is for you!
