CelestialMetals are both one of the best groups in the flight but they also are arguable one of the most harmful in a sense. Specifically each one has a flaw that affects how they interact with others which ends up being reinforced by the others. Tf!Sausage has a strict black and white worldview with the others basically giving into his views. Tf!Zam has social anxiety and the group always being by her side makes her unable to gain confidence when interacting with others due to that dependence. Tf!Legs has his paranoia and fear which the others help make stronger by shielding him from information that scares him by taking the books that scare him. Then you have Tf!Gracie who they support in helping others but fail to teach to care for themselves. They care and help one another so much but in a way that harms their ability to grow into their own identities.

Cleo: [Wednesday 27 May, before TwitchCon Rotterdam] will be my travel day and I get in at 8pm. So I will probably try and find False or Ren and go out for dinner, once I get to the hotel, or have food, or something

Joe: Are you guys gonna clothes shopping?

Cleo: Not again

Joe: Oh did you guys go clothes shopping in Seattle [after Gamers For Giving 2026]? 'Cause they were talking about it non-stop at that lunch

Cleo: Yeah, we went - (laughs) We dressed up Ren (laughs)

Joe: Did it actually go well?

Cleo: Yeah! He basically fought us on every turn - well, "us" - I was there playing devil's advocate. He fought False on every turn and then really liked what was picked out for him

Joe: Okay. (overlapping) That's fun

Cleo: I don't know. We got him new shoes, he got a leather jacket, he got - (laughs) He got a shirt with a t-shirt. Like, it was nice, it had like - you know how I am about buttons - it had buttons. But it was like -

Joe: Yeah. But you put up with it. You were like, "these are acceptable buttons"

Cleo: No, they weren't. They were awful buttons but, they can be removed. And probably arguably should be. And we took him to a shoe shop, where he got green shoes, for the first time in his life. And he looked pretty snazzy! And everyone noticed the difference! Because Ren wears blue, exclusively

I had a bunch of ideas for this one, but I’ve been thinking about Ren so much lately, and when I think of personas that the Hermits have put on over the years, I always think of this guy’s silly accent and his 3rd life theatre time <333 Plus, I have so many fun dbhc thoughts about 3rd life that I can’t wait to get into, so I thought it’d be fun to do a little taste of them for today’s prompt! :D
